I don't usually take the time to review hotels, but our experience this time warrants a review! From the time we drove up to the front door until the time we left we were treated like royalty. Attention was paid to every detail. The room was lovely and so convenient to Old Town where there are tours and shopping along... More

Location, location, location. Breathtaking, breathtaking, breathtaking. If I were to take only one trip in life, THIS might be the choice. Sitting at the foot (or head) of tiny, perfect, Lake Fuscl where only electric, small and noiseless craft are allowed lake floating privileges, the original "castle" captures the best views of both lake and surrounding mountains while catching perfect... It was by chance we selected this fantastic hotel!! But sometimes really good luck happens. A warm welcome on arrival, the car valet parked, baggage whisked away to our room, a welcome drink overlooking the magnificent city of Salzberg - it was snowing when we arrived and the Schloss looked fantastic. Our room was at the top with great views... More

From the beginning of our visit to the end, the staff here made us feel like we were family. We stayed over Christmas and received several gifts. The location of this hotel is outstanding with stunning views of the city while also being a stunning view from the city. It was great to have the elevator pass so we didn't... More

The Hotel Schloss Monchstein to is a lovely place to enjoy your stay in Salzburg. It's location was half the pleasure, perched right above Old Town. After spending time in the city, we would take the elevator up to the Museum de Moderne and enjoy the beautiful walk to the hotel. The hotel staff was kind and helpful and the... More

We arrived in Salzburg off the early train from Vienna. Greeted upon arrival at the Schloss Monstein with a glass of bubbles overlooking the incredible view made us feel so relaxed and welcome. We had a nice walk down to old town via lunch at Restaurant M 32 (Museum of Modern Art - recommend along with the Fortress). Upon arrival... More

We elected the restaurant of the hotel for our Christmas celebration during our trip, a wonderful lunch with a breathtaking view of the city of Salzburg. The food and service were outstanding as in the first time we have been there fifteen years ago and they were very kind with the kids, offering special dishes for them. That is always... More

We have just had a short stay for my birthday in Salzburg, which is just a magical city this time of year and stayed at the Schloss Monchstein Hotel. We have traveled the world and this is probably ....... the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. The service was truly wonderful from every member of staff, the room was... More

We booked adjoining rooms for my wife and I plus our three children (14, 13 and 7) - rooms were excellent - very spacious and very well appointed. Service couldn't be better - nothing was too much trouble. Staff at front desk speak perfect English and arranged a variety of trips and visits for us including private transfers - highly... More

We arrived to the patio with breathtaking views and I literally started to cry. We were asked for our preference of a drink as they got our information to settle us in. My best friend from high school and I ordered champagne and drank in the beverage as well as the view. Spectacular. We were upgraded and given a lovely... More
