Visited in November 2014, beautiful city, really lovely hotel! Great rooms, lovely spa in the roof (didn't visit - we should have!), fresh, delicious breakfast. Really nice hotel. In the town, the "Alter Fuchs" served delicious dinners for reasonable prices, and Shrimps near the river is a very good seafood restaurant.

An efficiently run, and welcoming hotel with a wonderful array of produce at breakfast. The hotel is situated within 10-15 minutes walk of the old town and is ideal if you are not concerned about staying in the old town itself. Reception will happily book tours and restaurants on your behalf.

Went to SZG for the weekend with a group of friends, booked Auersperg because it looked nice on the web, the welcome was really nice, the decor is a nice mix of modern and old villa style, the bar is cute, the rooms are good, the breakfast is great (finally a hotel that knows how to make fresh beetroot celery... We really enjoyed our stay at the Auersperg Hotel. The room was very well equipped, and there were lots of little things that we felt really made it. They sound simple, but so often overlooked in other hotels! For example, storage space for two suitcases, plenty of shelves in useful places, thermometer outside the window, etc etc. The bathroom/shower was... More

Had a very enjoyable 3 night stay with my sister. I'd asked for non-feather pillows and duvets as we are both allergic. They hadn't got this right but as soon as I notified them this was rectified straight away. Staff are helpful and friendly and the breakfast is delicious! I'm already missing the scrummy muesli and fresh fruit. It had... More

I really liked staying here - I was in the other house that i know some have complained about but it's a short walk and a lovely building. i found it a bit creepy at night as it was quite quiet but it's safe enough. breakfast is just the best i've had. really healthy and delicious. overall i liked staying... I liked the fact that the hotel was a little removed from main action. The quietness of the neighborhood and setting were calming and comforting after sightseeing .All staff were friendly and professional and we especially liked Julia every day at breakfast with her warm greeting and helpfulness! The buffet had a nice variety and you could order different egg dishes... More

The only issue we had with this hotel is that it is a little off the beaten path. An extra 5 or so minute walk to the main streets. This was a little hard in the winter with kids... In the summer or without kids, would have been fine. The hotel has a great breakfast. The rooms are beautiful and... More

Even though we had to make a last minute change to the number of rooms we needed, the staff was very accommodating and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was incredible, and the evening hot chocolate/cocktail in the hotel bar was really relaxing after a whole day walking around the city. The front desk has recommendations for the Sound of Music tour... More

This was by far one of the friendliest hotels we have ever stayed in. From the moment we walked through the door, till the day we left every moment was thoroughly enjoyable. We had booked The Family room in the adjoining villa building and were pleasantly surprised as to the size and quality of furnishings. Not a huge room, but... More
