For the price I paid and having seen a pic of the exterior of the building I had expected a basic hotel. I was wrong and very pleasantly surprised. This is a super hotel, with friendly staff and great service. My room on the 5th floor had a nice view of a mountain and part of the old town. It... More

We have just arrived home from a four night stay in this hotel. Location was perfect in the new part but up road from mirabelle gardens and so easy to walk to old part. Staff were extremely helpful - recommending great places to eat and advising on best way to see Salzburg and surrounding area. Thanks to Rene and all... More

This hotel was booked for us through a tour guide so I am not sure of the actual room rate but I hope it wasn't more than 200 euros per night. It was adequate. We usually stay at higher end places but opted to save money this trip since we spend so little Time in the actual hotel room. There... More

Older style hotel but this adds rather than detracts for clients. Clean, tidy, and well serviced rooms with pleasant decor. The breakfasts were excellent but the outstanding point for us was the congeniality of, and help from, the staff, with the concierge as being outstanding - the best in our experience. We highly recommend this hotel to any staying in... More

The hotel is centrally located in Salzburg and even the famous castle on the opposite side of the city center is just a 15-20 min walk away. The staff is also very very nice and extremely helpful. The room we had however was very small and not nicely equipped. The bathroom was also small and had an old shower system... More

Very good hotel on good location. What is important for me, they have private parking. Friendly stuff, nice clean rooms and good breakfast. Very good hotel if you are coming with car and want to stay in the city center.

We stayed 5 nights and were very happy with this hotel. The room was clean with modern facilities. Yet it still maintained the old style hotel charm. Not just plastic and chrome. The staff was very helpful when we needed information. A 15-20 minute walk to the train station. A 10 minute walk to the old town. Grocery store nearby... More

The reception staff were friendly and helpful, letting us know the distance to the old town and other attractions. Our room was quiet (we had asked for a quiet room and that's what we got). A fan was provided without having to ask.WiFi wasn't fantastic but after travelling for 10 weeks and staying in various hotels, this was par for... More

The staff was wonderful. I was grateful for the elevator so I didn't have to lug my suitcase up the stairs. Parking in the small lot behind the hotel was 15 Euros which is rather steep but was greatly appreciated because there is no visible parking available nearby. Easy walk to Old Town and the Fortress. The room was very... More

We had our 54th anniversary here. Although it was very hot, 34 degrees, our room had a large freestanding fan which kept us comfortable. Every member of staff treated us like long lost friends and were so helpful. The bathroom with shower was excellent. Breakfasts were a highlight with so much choice. Cleanliness, beds and furnishings were beyond reproach. Bus... More
