My wife and I visited for 2 nights in order to visit the Christmas markets of Salzburg. The location was excellent and made it easy to walk to Old Town, Salzburg Fortress (Festung Hohensalzburg), Salzburg Cathedral (Dom), Hellbrunn Castle (Schloss Hellbrun), and the various Mozart museums. Clean rooms, excellent breakfast (included), and very kinds staff.

Our room was very nice and super clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice and well stocked and restaurant staff were very friendly. I was surprised that the front Desk staff were not very helpful and definitely not friendly. Maybe they don't like Canadians.

There are no negatives for staying here. Everything is good here: friendly, helpful desk staff; delicious buffet breakfast with many choices; absolutely perfect location for exploring the city; very comfortable beds with nice linens. We booked an executive room which had a separate small sitting room, a separate bathroom with toilet and sink; and a bathroom with a separate shower... More

We have just returned home from spending 4 nights at Hotel Elefant. We found the location of the hotel to be excellent, and it was easy to catch the bus from and to the airport rather than paying far more for taxis. Our room was spotless, the bed was comfy and the shower was nice and hot after spending a... More

We booked this 4 star rated hotel (superior double room 308) having read consistently good TripAdvisor reports. Consequently, we were disappointed that it did not meet our expectations. However, it is important to put everything in context. The location is excellent for exploring both the old and new Salzburg, our room was small but clean with a comfortable bed, a... More

Delightful hotel, think family run. Lovely rooms, quite spacious with ample room in the bathroom too Great location in the old town. 1 minutes walk to river, 5 minutes walk to the fort, slap bang in the middle of town for shopping. Back fast was delightful, loads of choice of breads, croissants, cheeses, hams, scrambled eggs and bacon, with juices,... More

We stayed here for two nights , it is a beautiful hotel in the heart of the old town in Salzburg, they included breakfast which was a good continental one. The room was lovely and included two arm chairs and a coffee table, sadly there were no tea or coffee making facilities. The room was a double but the bed was... More

You cannot beat Elefant's location, right in the middle of the Aldstadt (old town) Salzburg. It's within walking distance of everything. Our room (204) was pretty small, but I guess that should be expected from an old hotel in the heart of an ancient city. The highlight was our meal at S'Nockerl (hotel restaurant), which was easily our best meal... More
