My wife and I and 2 children (ages 5, 3) stayed for 2 nights in June. The hotel location is perfect, right in the heart of Salzburg on a quiet side street. You are just steps from many of the major sites, including the fortress. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. The rooms were quite large and very quiet.... More

We stayed in the Weimar Elefant about three years ago and loved it so booked this one in Salzburg, Austria. We had a suite for five nights, very, very comfortable and clean. Good breakfast, plenty of choice and the staff are always cheerful! The only nit pick is the tiny lift which on occasion behaved like Arkwrights till! Shot off... More

We really enjoyed our 6 days at this very central hotel in Salzburg. The hotels front desk staff were superb and very friendly and helpful. The room that we stayed in was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. This hotel has an adjoining restaurant which served fantastic meals at reasonable prices. A great place in Salzburg and central... More

The staff was mostly aloof. Driving to the hotel was quite an adventure not knowing that to get to the hotel one needs "codes" to lower the pylons that prevent just anyone from gaining access to the road the hotel was on. While the internet was free...you get what you pay for...it was poor and inconsistent. The front desk employee... More

The Hotel Elefant in Salzburg is a great choice if you want to stay central in old town. The staff was welcoming, the rooms and bathrooms are small but well appointed and clean. The wifi worked very well and was free in the rooms. This hotel is a very charming old boutique hotel and I would definitely choose to stay... More

This hotel is walking distance to most of the sights in the old town. If you arrive in Salzburg by car, however, it is a pain to access the narrow, cobbled pedestrian only area in order to drop off your luggage before parking your car about 750 metres away. Our superior room, though nice with comfortable beds had a view... More

Very charismatic traditional hotel located in a narrow side street in the old city. It was a bit of a performance to arrive at the hotel by car as you have to go through the barriers into the pedestrian area. At as there is a restaurant at the hotel with tables on the street is was a slightly embarrassing performance... More

We stayed for a few nights. When we got there our air conditioners didn't work. They were able to move my husband and I to a new room, but they were full and had some fans to offer my friends, until the maintenance man could come the next day as it was late. I thought it was thoughtful, some might... More

We stayed at the Elefant for 2 nights (21-23 June) in an executive room but it was more like a suite, with a separate bedroom and seating area....plus an added bonus of a lovely little balcony. The room was very clean and modern with a comfortable bed. The location was perfect. On a previous visit we stayed at the Sheraton... More

Even the Superior Double rooms are tiny. Our view was of a wall that had scenery wallpaper on it. The next building to us was about 3 ft. away from our window. We only stayed one night. Maybe that's the reason for the tiny room with no view. Felt so closed in that I was unable to sleep however on... More
