Just coming back from Die Gersberg Alm, We choose the hotel for the location outside Salzburg. Due to the festival we were lucky to find a room, I would have prefered the Shoene Aussicht but it was full. Our family of two adults and three children stayed here over Christmas. We were supposed to stay for 5 nights, but loved it so much that we stayed 1 extra night! We had a double and a triple room. We stayed at the Gersberg Alm for 3 nights over Christmas 2006 and the experience was totally perfect!! They had a Christmas package that included dinners which were very gourmet and some of the best we had on our trip to Salzburg/Munich. Breakfast was equally wonderful. I stayed here with my family for Christmas in 2004 and it could not have been better. The hotel is truly picturesque and set in a wonderful location with spectacular views of Salzburg. The rooms are huge, warm and comfortable and are very clean. The bathrooms are marble with heated flooring! The restaurant is truly lovely - cozy and quaint... more

Spouse and I stayed here in October 2004, booked on the phone as we headed into Salzburg. No cover charges, rooms were immaculate and huge! Bathrooms were marble, first class. The Gersberg Alm is located above Salzburg in a very quiet, rural area. A car is a must for staying here. The hotel looks like your typical old Austrian style chalet.
