After a long-awaited trip to Salzburg, we checked in to the Austrotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt as if we were the only ones that mattered. Really not much we can add to what most other reviewers have said. Salzburg and the surrounding countryside are wonderful (particularly fond of Bad Ischl and the spa) but potentially pricey. This hotel was pleasant with friendly service. I would echo the remarks about the rooms being hot - we were there in April and still very warm without any aircon. Also be warned that the loud church bells are very close by - a bit of a nuisance if you want a sleep-in! Great location though and clean/spacious etc. more
