We unfortunatly did not get the upgraded room we reserved and had preciously, but they did have a large convention in the hotel and that was their reason for giving our room away. Nicely renewed hotel struggling with the old architecture how to make use of corridors and levels. Basic rooms and bathrooms, high ceilings, but nice personal, great breakfast and free internet which works. Close to Graz castle and city centre.

Renovated circa 2008, this hotel has modern, comfortable rooms, though slightly small. Try to get a room overlooking the river. Breakfast is a very good buffet - not the largest spread, but all good - with many breads and sliced meats, as well as eggs, and many other choices. Very close to the city centre and to tram system. Very clean. Rooms a bit small and bare. You can also reach it quickly from the train station as it is just 3 stops away. In my opinion it is a bit expensive for what it offers.

Stayed there in a casual room, was quite ok, clean, but a little small bathroom, the itself (23) was quite big,( 2 rooms) , as it was on the corner.they have nice breakfast and in same building there is restaurant and wine bar ' der steirer' where you will get styrian tapas, really lovely. Large rooms with spartan furnishing in need of decoration (black marks & cracks on walls), wooden floors covered in black scuff marks. Very basic bathrooms, pubic hairs in shower and on towel. The breakfast and the front desk staff are the hotels redeeming features.

The location of the hotel is great because all important shops, restaurants and sights are within walking distance. It's also easy to reach from the railway station and they offer free Wi-Fi. We found that while the hotel was quite funky (we had a corner room with a huge bath) It was expensive for what you got. And it was expensive for a small town, Wound up costing more than comparable hotel in Vienna. It was in a very convenient location ...just up the road from the Kunsthaus and a short walk... More
