We'd left a campsite and traveled two hours before finding this hotel and restaurant. Sadly the hotel was booked Out by conference personnel but we wanted to eat outside so settled in the garden. tome thing simple and hearty was the order of the day. The goulash was warm and rich when it arrived, the light fluffy huge knoodle (dumpling)... More

Hotel in the center of the town, with a private parking lot. Combination of beergarden, restaurant and hotel. Nice rooms, no airconditioning (so a bit hot in the summer) / No Elevator. Restaurent serves the typicall Austrian food (good)

How disappointing. Our waiter really couldn't care less in this very busy beer garden. The food was less than average, not poor but sadly we felt we could have eaten better in a motorway cafe. To make matters worse almost every table was smoking cigarettes or pipes. A miserable experience I can't possibly recommend.

nice room but very stuffy without any air conditioning, also overlooking the large beer garden which meant no sleep before midnight, only to be woken up again at six am by noise of early deliveries. On raising the issue with the hotel owner next morning his only reply was " What do you expect from a three star hotel?" To... More

The hotel was a welcome stop after a long drive of nearly 800km. The rooms were very comfortable and clean - great beds, very good bathrooms. However, no lifts which could be an inconvenience if you're carrying heavy bags. We found a convenient undercover carpark about 5 minutes walk away, having been able to pull up right by the hotel... Stayed 1 night in transit. Well situated in the centre of Wels and easy to find from the autoroute. There is a large parking area at the rear but mostly taken by guests to the restaurant if you arrive late, we managed to find a last spot at around 1800 mid week. Traditional Gasthof in every sense. Room was large,... More

We were given a room directly above the restaurant. Since there was no air conditioning, we had to open the windows. But the noise and smell from the restaurant below was too much for us. It wasnt a pleasant evening. Terrific patio area for eating and great food, buti would never stay here again.
