Historic building impeccably maintained in the heart of old town. We upgraded to a suite and it was huge - the only downside is that the elevator only went to the floor below so you have to carry your luggage the last flight of steps. The king bed was very comfortable, great shower (hot water / water pressure) and English... More

We have a dinner with our friends in Hotel Mader Gaeste restaurant. The service is very godd and the meals are really nice. The atmosphere is beautiful because this is a historical building. Here there are some photos about antiques in the restaurant area.

Booked over Booking.com a double room for one person as I prefer big beds. Received a really huge room under the rooftop with small windows to the pedestrian area. Unfortunately there was a volleyball-tournament going on all day and it was quite loud until 3 a.m. That´s the only thing I was surprised: that the receptionist didn´t tell me in... More

Very old building. Bit of a labyrinth. First room we were shown was very small. Asked for suite, which was very spacious. Large bathroom, separate lounge area, and large bedroom. Furnishings in keeping with style of the building. Fabulous "Brunch" breakfast served till 12.00 on a Sunday, but more basic fare on weekdays, with earlier finish. Fabulous town for a... More

A very old style hotel in the square in Styre. Quite beautiful, Fantastic placemen t to see old Austria. The food was excellent but we ventured to other eateries which were equally as good. The ski season had just started the last time I was there and the atmosphere was terrific.

This historic family hotel has a lot to offer, several restaurants, bars, beerstude and even a wine stube (which is not always open). Reception on the first floor, very friendly and professional. My room on the 3th floor was large, with sitting area, fridge, an well equiped bathroom. Only remark perhaps, the breakfast area is outdated, but breakfast itself was... More

Very nice Hotel in the main old town square, the Stadtplatz. Buildings date from around end of 18th Century with some earlier. Very picturesque. Nice external terrace in the Stadtplatz directly outside the hotel entrance. Nice inner courtyard for eating and drinking. Excellent restaurant in the back for wintertime in the old vaults, and a less formal typical Austrian bar... More

Typical hotel in the center of Steyr. On the ground floor you can find some good restaurants. My room was a little bit small, and placed near an external corridor, and people walking in the corridor could see inside the room... this is not so much comfortable, you had always to keep the curtains closed not to be seen. Good... More
