Stayed there for two nights for the "Pflasterspektakel". The hotel is small and looks quite inconspicuous from the outside. We were welcomed by an older man who gave the impression he would be the owner of the hotel but at the same time could even have been a guest who just takes the chance to get behind the reception desk... This small hotel near the old town of Linz is a good choice if you need an moderately priced hotel for your stay. The hotel is of walkind distance from the train station and the old town (with sights like Mariendom, Schlossberg and the Hauptplatz). The rooms (stayed in a single on the fourth floor) are a good size and... More

The room we had in this hotel was very modern and clean. I'm not sure if we got a newly upgraded room or if it is standard, but the décor was very new looking and modern. I loved the patio door, the wood floors, and the plush soft beds. My only complaint was the bathroom door because it was clear... More

This hotel is located in walking distans to Landstrasse, the main street, and most of the attractions in Linz. The area is quiet and you will nog be disturbed in your sleep. The staff is really helpful and ready to help you at any time. The one thing that absolutely was out of date was the internetg access. You neex... More

Really, is this the service in Austria for 4 stars? No air conditioning, the breakfast very poor, the price is high for the rooms, small, old furniture. Strange smell in the room... And top of that, in the evening as I was eating, a small friend tried to join my dinner. The staff was OK, I guess the only good... More

We enjoyed our stay at the City Hotel. The staff was above and beyond friendly! We were excited that they could speak english. The Hotel was very clean, the breakfast was excellent and they had FREE parking!... After spending 20-30 Euro a night, at other hotels, this made us very happy. It's a bit of a walk to the downtown... More

I passed 3 nights in this hotel. The room was clean and confortable and when you close the window is hard to listen anything out. The breakfast was delicious: local cheese, fresh fruit in a lovely room. Wifi was free. The young service was very gentle and speaking fluent english. The position of the hotel is in a quiet street... More

I stayed here for one night, checking it out for a 40 person party next spring. Location is o.k. but the rooms were disappointing with the hardest, most uncomfortable beds I have ever encountered, and I visit hotels every week. This hotel has a clock tower nearby which sounds every fifteen minutes so neither my colleague nor I slept at... More

The management on three occasions were publicly yelling at the staff in a most rude manner. Twice on the telephone and once in the breakfast room. Guests are trying to have a beer in the afternoon or breakfast and should not be subjected to this sort of thing. We needed internet and were told that they had WLAN. But it... More
