I have stayed in this hotel before. Last year. Dreadful, poorly kept rooms, the food is bad and the service rotten. The only saving grace is the views across the lake. Lovely hotel.The location was very good just on the lakeside with great views. The rooms were good very spacious but bathrooms were tiny and tired looking.Could do with an update.Breakfast room was very good and the outdoor dining area was excellent with a lovely view of the lake. more

Ate here on a pleasant summer day with my family. Ate in the garten, a beautiful view. The waitress was friendly and spoke English well. The wife and I had the Tagesmenu, the daily specials. The food was delicious, not as pricey as it could have been given that this is one of the nicer hotels in Hallstatt. more
