The staff attention was amazing, they were nice and with a warm attitude, always with a smile. The rooms are big and very illuminated. If you are going with cold weather, don't worry, the rooms are always warm and cozy. Bonus: it's 8 minutes away from the salt mine transport. A little CON: it's 10 minutes walking from the downtown... More

We stayed at Gasthof Hirlatz for one night on our way from Germany to Slovenia - it ended up being one of our favourite spots along our five week trip. Hallstatt itself is beautiful, and if you're thinking of visiting - I strongly recommend that you do. The scenery is stunning, and the town itself is incredibly sweet. We stayed... More

I was the first vegan guest and was very thankful for the cook who prepaid a special vegan menu for me. The food was great at dinners , the staff friendly and the place is very clean. The place is 10-20 minutes walk from the lake and away from the tourists buses. It is also on the start of the... More

We came into town not having a place to stay and went from one house to another as we thought we wanted one-off and home like accommodation. But those rooms were all filled and we then came here, which is a a third generation family run B&B. Gabby greeted us and had a room. It was on the third floor... More

This hotel is located a short walk away from the cable car lift and the main area of the town. I really liked how quiet the hotel and the area was as well as the proximity to the cable car for the salt mines. The hotel was very clean and my room had a balcony. The breakfast selection was more... More

Clean room with a beautiful view from the balcony, helpful, kind and english speaking staff. Breakfast was the basic buffet and it was OK. It is situated in a beautiful and quiet place, surrounded with mountains.

Room: Basic and clean room, big bathroom. But the mattress is too soft, not enough support for a good sleep. Location: far from town, need to walk at least 30 min to get to the town centre. Walked over 1 hour everyday to go in town and back to hostel was not enjoyable at all. Breakfast: Basic buffet with eggs.... More

We were franklly disappointed by this place and the lack of hospitality shown by the staff - the only time we experienced of this on a week's tour. The hotel is the furthest away from the market square - at least 3/4 of a mile away which it did not make clear. We ate in the village and had to... More
