Hallstatt is an amazing place, quaint, quiet and serene. The Heritage Hotel Hallstatt is located right at the jetty where you get down from your boat. The room has an amazing view of the lake (consider taking rooms on the upper floors). The facilities were upbeat at the hotel. If I really have to put forward a criticism, I would... More

I stayed here two nights while on a cycling tour. I stayed in the main building on 1st floor (not ground floor). This is a very nice and updated hotel. Clean. Quiet except for the adjacent church bell which goes off daily at 6am. Did not bother me because I was already up, and if you visit Hallstatt (highly recommended),... More

I wish I could have spent more than one night in Hallstatt, it was so charming. Heritage Hotel made my short stay even more enjoyable. I was initially booked into one of the other buildings; however, was fortunate that a cancellation enabled me to be situated in the main building. Perfect location with a well appointed room. Nicely renovated without... More

My partner and I stayed at Heritage Hotel in Hallstatt for one night only. On advice from one of the other reviews, we requested a room facing the lake and on one of the higher floors which was the best advice we read on Trip Advisor. The room was spacious and clean and the location was truly amazing and the... More

While it was not terrible and the girls at the hotel were lovely, it was poor for a 4-star hotel. We stayed on the ground floor in a big spacious room with a courtyard overlooking the car park and the lake, it was clean, the views were amazing, however, I am marking the place down for the following reasons: -... My husband and I recently stayed two nights at the Heritage Hotel in Hallstatt on our vacation. We had a lake view room (no balcony) in the main hotel building. The rooms were extremely comfortable and large in size. While the furnishings lack a lot of the charm of other small hotels in Hallstatt, the rooms contained everything we needed... More

View over lake..., location directly in the center of the city and a good room with terrace over-looking the harbor and the lake and the mountains. Can't really ask for more during our vacation. The service? Absolutely ok, nothing to complain about. I know that the breakfast is generally not included (was in our package), but if you have it,... More

We stayed for 2 nights in deluxe room in Haus Kainz with lake view. Our initial thought was the lovely view and modern room was worth €195 per night. But I did not expect no hot water !!! First night at 9pm, my husband enquired about the lukewarm water at reception, a lady told him wait half an hour, the... More

Wow! Service was BAD. Quite possibly the WORST hotel service I've ever had. The front desk does NOT care about their guests at all! I requested a taxi be called for the next morning, they never called it. So the next morning the stress of almost missing my bus was ridiculous. The least they should have done is paid for... More

This was our second time here, having enjoyed our stay three years ago. While other lodging in Hallstatt is no doubt very nice, Heritage Hotel has them beat on location alone – just steps from the boat landing which you'll appreciate if you arrive by train; yes, the train station is across the lake. Our large room in the Kainz... More
