Haus Trausner is a centrally located B&B with a lovely, welcoming owner who makes you feel right at home. The breakfast, which is either served on the patio when suitable or in the room as the B&B does not have a breakfast room, is plentiful. On our stay we required a travel cot for a baby which was no issue... More

We have been so lucky to find and book Trausner BB on the internet while planning a trip to Hallstatt. Upon our arrival in Hallstatt, leaving the ferryboat, the captain phoned Maria informing her that she had visitors. She picked us up from the ferry-station on her red car, which we did not really expect. Maria is just amazing. Always... More

Haus Trausner is well located, about 10-15 min walk from the ferry, along the beautiful streets of Hallstatt - if you come by train. The bus stop is just a minute walk. There is a supermarket across the road. Maria, the owner, is the most wonderful host! She is super nice and helpful! You'll feel at home from the moment... More

As mentioned in numerous other reviews, this is a lovely, quaint little B&B located very close to the main pedestrian walkway. It is also very close to the funicular which runs up to the salt mines attraction. The room was spacious and comfortable and we shared a toilet with one other room. The breakfast was okay by American standards but,... More

Maria is a terrific host. She's very welcoming and would do anything to make sure your stay is comfortable. The house was close to the bus stop/supermarket, just a 2-3 minutes walk. It's well-maintained, extremely clean and decorated with good taste. I love the signs she hung on the doors. The bed and pillow were comfy too. Our room was... More

Just returned today from trip to Germany and Austria. Hallstatt was our last stop. Maria was the kindest person we met in all our travels. Many hosts will put on a happy face to greet you, but you know it's just business. Maria is different . . . she is a truly gracious, kind and caring person, and is interested... More

Haus Trausner was a lovely B&B in Hallstatt. It was a little hard to find at first; we walked right past it! But, we were glad we made the effort. (From the boat into Hallstatt, you turn left down the lane and walk about 10 minutes. Soon after passing the information center the road splits, and you take the right... More

We had a wonderful time at this cosy bed and breakfast, even though the weather was disappointing. We had a nice view out of the window and breakfast was substantial. The owner could not do enough for us to ensure that we got the most out of our stay, including bringing afternoon tea to our room one rainy day! She... More

This is very nice, cosy haus!!! We had two nights in Haus Trausner. Maria was very friendly and kind to us!! We had two rooms with shared toilet (between these two rooms). The owner is joiner, so all furniture was made from wood and with a good taste. Rooms were amazingly comfortable and cosy - we felt like we're at... More

All the reviews here are true. Maria is warm but not intrusive, very laid back but the place is spotlessly clean and well maintained. How she runs this place I have no idea. It's a ten minute walk left when you get off the boat, near the bus terminal and the police station. A wonderful park is nearby that the... More
