“A treat in Durnstein”

Just spent a wonderful day and night in Durnstein and Hotel Richard Loewenherz. The Hotel itself was top-onotch with comfortable living spaces and an attentive staff. Do not be put-off by comments about narrow streets and crowds; you only have to drive about 200 yards through the town to get to the Hotel and it really was not a problem.... More

Well located in Durnstein - full of character - pleasant large rooms. We relished the pool after a hot morning of cycling. Good bike storage in secure garage. Pleasant and helpfull staff. Be early and book your table at balcony edge in the hotel restaurant - beautiful meal and excellent friendly staff.

The hotel is located deep inside the small village of Durnstein. While free parking is provided by the hotel, some travelers might be put off by having to navigate the tiny, tourist filled cobblestone alleys of the village to reach the hotel. “Amazing hotel”

this is a 700 year old convent. The rooms are beautiful with a view of the Danube. It has an incredible pool outside with a view of Durnstein Castle. the hotel is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. Great location for walking and shopping. The staff speak English and are very helpful.
