I stayed at the Hotel for 4 x nights to attend a conference. The drive up to the entrance is impressive but it soon becomes clear that this hotel has seen better days. The decor is classic 1950's and it could be possible that it is still original. The first room allocated was located in what seemed like the isolation... More

This hotel could be amazing. The location and situation are incredible. The realisation is terrible. With some investment this hotel would be so much more. As it is, the rooms are dated, The furniture was straight from the 1970s as was the decor, and it was not from the groovy 1970s. The breakfast was a selection of tinned fruits, some... More

When I arrived I had such high hopes......its a beautiful building set in some nice grounds, everything I imagined a hotel to be in Austria..........I really liked a lot of aspects of the hotel, it certainly doesnt feel like a typical business hotel...it has real character, lots of wood, high ceilings, olde world feel without being tacky it felt very... Good external structure, very stylish, but inside you understand you are not in a 4-star hotel. I was assigned to room without any curtain and I had to ask to change room. Essential room, maybe some renewal should be evaluated. But cleanliness was ok. Unbelievable that only low internet connection is free and if you want high speed connection you... More

We stayed in this hotel twice - in 2010 like a couple and then in last July with kids. Overall we like it. Big and spacious, old building (that was a palace once ). This time we stay in suite with two kids. The room was big, old style furnished (we liked antic furniture), very high cellar. Hotel is outdated,... More

Just return from Sauerhof, Baden. The hotel's quality is getting worse. Swimming pool was closed as well the famous Beaty Farm..Breakfast menu is rather poor according to the austrian hotels standards. Looks that the owner is trying to reduce costs and the hotel is economically not in a good shape.. Free Internet is available only in the lobby..Old radio with... More

We have spent a long weekend with my family in this beautiful, charming castle. The hotel and the whole area is the age from biedermeier with original furnitures. We just adored them! Comfortable, calme place, perfect relax for very good price. Our family is big, we had 3 connected rooms, which meant we were separated and also together in the... More

Yes! Could be... The hotel is a fantastic historical building with large rooms filled with natural light, a great location, very nice and warm. But everything is dusty and old! The rooms smell like old history books. Don't get me wrong! It is nice to stay in such hotels, but this one is way too outdated! The wifi worked perfectly... More

Very nice hotel. Nothing particularly fancy, but quite comfortable and clean. Breakfast in the morning was also nice. Staff are quite courteous. If you need to iron a shirt, request an iron upon arrival, however, they in short supply.

4 day conference, excellent large room, good food. Charming rather than plush, but that is not a criticism at all, it made it very relaxing. We liked the slightly austere but elegant facade. The spa pool and fitness centre is new and excellent. Very Austrian, so don't expect to be fawned over, but very helpful nontheless. We are going back... More
