We were only at the Burgenland for one night, but it exceeded out expections in every way. The room was larger than most European hotels, bathroom had a shower and tub, there was a fan to help with cooling, and breakfast was extensive. "a very warm welcome" is what they promise in the brochure and that is exactly what we got. Yhe hotel is conveniently located at the foot of the sloping main street in a quiet area. This hotel is really a place to avoid. First of all, people don't speak English after 11pm. Then there was a terrible noise in my room coming from the wall like an egine running. The hotel is clean and spacious and promises more from its appearance than it offers. We were to arrive around 10pm on a Sunday evening and so phoned ahead to check that the restaurant would be open. My husband and I stayed here from the 10th to 15th March. Its location is excellent and central. Rooms are big and have a nice layout. If you are planning to use any internet during your stay in Eisenstadt, DO NOT stay here: my Internet bill for four nights came to EUR 170 EUROS!
