Just come back from a long weekend to watch the Tour de France. Booked Ambassador at last minute, with reservations due to some Tripadvisor comments. No need to be worried though. Hotel is in a great location for sightseeing and getting around and it was this that made the difference to our trip. Airport shuttle bus drop off is 2... more

My fiancee won a weekend in Monte Carlo in an online National Lottery draw. We were booked into the Ambassador for our 3 night stay. We were flown into the resort on a helicopter from Nice airport as part of the prize (Which I would recommend to anyone if you have the cash, they advertised it as 400 euro return!!).... more

Service was unbearable. The staff wouldn't allow guests to view the room and a reply or merely a smile to a 'hello' would be nice. You would think it would take less effort that to blatantly ignore us. The room was the same as shown in photos, however, when we politely asked for an extra towel, the staff wanted to... more

Very amazed, to be onest, it looks like, the guest is confusing hotel, we always allow guest to visit the room where they will stay, if the require it, we only refuse if the room has been occupied by someone else and it has been recleaned again. By he way there is no extra charge at all for extra towels...

This was excellent value for money. When we arrived at the station it was only a 3 - 4 minute walk to the hotel. The room was very roomy. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of meat, cheese, bread, cereals fruit etc. The staff were most pleasant. Yes - there is building going on nearby by over the... more

We stayed at the Ambassador over the Easter period, booked online for the total amount of £370 for 3 nights, including buffet breakfast. Not too bad for Monaco, but quite a lot for what the hotel had to offer: a small room with dated furniture, a tiny bathroom with shower only, and a dusty balcony looking onto the building site... more

Hotel is situated next to the Old Town, ports of Monaco and Fontvielle, Place d´Armes bus stop, Commercial center Fontvielle with supermarket, fruit market (Marche La Condamine). It's quit far from Monte-Carlo and Larvotto districts, but there is an excellent bustraffic (1€/trip, 3€ daypass, 6€/10trips) or you may just have a walk. Room is quit small, but clean and comfortable.... more

It is not conveniently located, cabs are not readily available. The management was not accommodating when I asked to check out early. My reason was that I had a 7:30am flight, for which no bus, train or helicopter schedule began early enough. Cabs to Nice are as much as 100 EUR, which is roughly the cost of a room! The... more

Splashed out on a one night stay in Monaco and this hotel fitted the bill. Not particularly cheap but by local standards was good value. Easy walk to the harbour and some shops. The staff were helpful and the room was tidy and clean. The hotel is on a busy road and driving in Monaco is quite a challenge. Breakfast... more

The Ambassador Hotel is situated in a good shopping district with everything from souvenirs to high end retail. It is also next to the Palace and minutes from the port of Monaco. The spacious lobby has a decent decor with large sitting area. The hotel has a restaurant with typical Italian cuisine. Room 49 (standard room at 160€) overlooked the... more

This hotel has an excellent location just steps from the Palace above and the Place des Armes bus stop (1.30 Euro if coming from Nice. From Jan. 1 will be 1.00 Eur. Ask the driver for this stop as it is not obvious if you don't know.) I stayed here for one night based on reviews on this site so... more
