This hotel has an excellent location just steps from the Palace above and the Place des Armes bus stop (1.30 Euro if coming from Nice. From Jan. 1 will be 1.00 Eur. Ask the driver for this stop as it is not obvious if you don't know.) I stayed here for one night based on reviews on this site so... more

This Hotel is fine as a base for a short stay in Monaco. My husband and I were there for the bank holiday weekend and we have no complaints. The hotel is in a good central location, was clean and the staff friendly. We didnt eat in the hotel apart from breakfast, of which there was very little selection but... more

This was another surprise outing to Monaco for me. I have always loved the place and wanted to go. The location for this hotel is great - near La Rascasse, Stars N Bars, and of course the Palace. It was a very special holiday as I was proposed to in the Palace by my partner, by the desk where Prince... more

I and my boyfriend went to Montecarlo in April. The Ambassador is a very nice hotel closed to the station and to the old part of the city (the castle) What impressed us the most is the tidiness of the room. Take into account that the restaurant has a very good restaurant which is not expensive at all (compared to... more

Stayed at the Ambassador for two nights and was desperately disappointed when we arrived. Resembles a shabby old 1980s B&B. Our room cost €180 per night through Venere. I understand that Monaco is jam-packed, and that space is at a premium, however I don't think a dump like this can justify charging these prices. Our room was small, cramped, tired,... more

This hotel looks nothing like the photos on Expedia. The rooms were closet-size and our room faced a parking lot and a seedy tourist stand and bar. The beds were awful and the pillows like bricks. The service here was non-existent and when we requested a taxi 25 minutes ahead, we were not informed that taxis are unreliable and frequently... more

I have to say I was disappointed with this hotel when I stopped here in early August 2006 for the following reasons....... Room: Not a bad size room but it badly needed refurbishing. The carpet had seen better days and was badly marked and stained (see picture). The furniture looked very tired and was also marked and damaged. The matress... more

The Ambassador is a perfect place to stay if you are just in Monaco for a short time. It is situated right in the centre of Monte Carlo, only about 50 metres from the exit of the main train station. It is also only 5-10 mins walk to the harbour and has lots of restaurants and bars within 5 mins... more
