We stayed for the second time at the hotel at the end of June and were treated to a wonderfully relaxed and friendly stay in the mountains of Troodos. Jack and Alla again looked after us with quiet efficiency and we felt that we were at home, even down to the coffee and fruit that he prepared for us each... More

Visiting the Troodos Mountains is the most wonderful experience and staying at Jack's hotel is a must. This is not for noisy partygoers, it's pretty clear from the reviews that you simply need to appreciate the beauty and peace of its location. We had a bad start to the holiday as our flight was cancelled on the 23rd June and... More

Set under shady pine trees on a quiet street in the small village of Platres, this delightful Edwardian, listed building overlooks the terracota roofs and patios of terraced houses on the side of the Troodos mountain and is a wonderful throwback to colonial times, with their very welcoming and courteous hosts, Jack who is now 83 with long experience of... We always stay at the Semiramis when we visit the Troodos mountains. Pano Platres is a quiet little town, with an alpine feel to it, and this hotel fits in well with that. There's always a warm welcome, with tea or coffee on arrival on the patio, The rooms are small but perfectly adequate, with en-suite shower and toilet. Breakfast... More

Very peaceful and quiet location, Jack and Alla were very kind and welcoming. The room was rather small and the bed a bit hard but a small price to pay for the joy of a restful holiday. We stayed for 5 days and had a great time walking in the mountains and eating out at the various Tavernas. You do... More

I stayed for 5 nights and was very comfortable. Jack and Alla welcomed me as usual and provided a good experience - as they have done before. Platres is a lovely place to stay, quiet with Scops owl and nightingale to listen to.

This hotel is the worst i've been to. the owner and his son have been extremely rude to us. they swore, insulted us and even threatened us. they seem to have some kind of mental illness and they asked us to go to our rooms and sleep at 11 oclock, and he did not allow us to leave the hotel... More

very bad attitude towards us, we were told to go to sleep by 11 oclock. The owners of the hotel were very rude and even threatened us! The owners wouldn't allow us to get out of the hotel after 10 oclock. An expired butter was offered to us while eating breakfast. the food was average and was not enough. overall,... More

the people working there were rude and impolite with no hospitality, the food at the hotel is terrible, the owners of the hotel do not seem mentally stable since they were yelling to call the police just because we were going up and down the stairs and just talking, the rooms were tiny and generally the hotel is terrible

Words just can not explain this wonderful experience in this beautiful little village! It is an amazing area in the heart of Troodos mountains, the location plus a hotel with a lovely service and a great man named Jack, a combination that makes a wonderful vacation in a great hotel...
