The whole hotel, inside and out, is decorated with either ancient greek or egyptian motifs and various other murals which we couldn’t quite decipher. There are also a lot of huge mirrors everywhere which makes the hotel seem vast and cavernous. In our view it worked, but for some guests it may not and they may find the decor overpowering... More

The décor certainly lives up to the Hotels Title. A little overwhelming and tired though. In need of a refurb. The room was spacious however the bath leaked into the room, which was unfortunate. Breakfast was good and the staff were helpful. The bar was cosy and good for a quiet drink. When I get charged an additional 5 Euros... More

Hot water running any time of day or night, very friendly and helpful staff when some of our party fell ill. Unheated pool which was disappointing and wasn't entirely clear which times of year it was heated on the website but lovely court yard and pool area to sit out on and enjoy, balcony to most rooms is a plus.... Just a few minutes walk from all amenities and with the shopping mall directly opposite this quirky hotel is ideal for a stay in Paphos. The staff are lovely and friendly, with good food and drink the only downside was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I first saw this hotel in 2000 and have always wanted to stay... More

I have to be honest - the hotel design didn't appeal to me at all and even was a big turn off. It seemed like a cheap tourist attraction rather than a nice place to stay in, especially next to the magnificent historical monuments of Pathos. There was a general feeling that "it's all about the money" and too much... More

Staff are very friendly, rooms were cleaned everyday, but beds are a bit too firm. In an excellent position for local restraunts the town and harbour, plenty of local buses. If you are looking for a budget hotel I would recommend it.

Just come back from staying at the Roman Hotel, and after reading some of the reviews we were a bit worried, but it was great, the staff are lovely, Tony on reception was very pleasant, and the bar staff, you can write it down if they don't understand, or point to the menu, your in a Cyprus, not everyone speaks... Stuff was very rood especially the greek guy. No one show us where the room was. At the check out nobody said goodbye or even asked how did we find the room and the nights staying at the hotel. It was very noisy from the traffic we couldn't sleep. You should better think twice before booking this hotel!!!

Just returned from the Roman and to be fair, it was okay. It's location makes it handy for the harbour area and the new shopping mall. Our room was very big and the bed large and comfortable. I checked out the buffet style evening meal and decided not bother. I found most of the things on the breakfast menu which... More

Having read previous reviews I feel I must have been in a different hotel from them. I had two holidays there this year and am returning next year for two more of one month in May and the same in August. This will be my fifteenth stay there and I can assure you the reception staff all speak perfect English.... More
