Having read previous reviews I feel I must have been in a different hotel from them. I had two holidays there this year and am returning next year for two more of one month in May and the same in August. This will be my fifteenth stay there and I can assure you the reception staff all speak perfect English.... More

After visiting every hotel in Paphos after midnight bacause our first hotel was a disaster we were suggested to ask for a room at this hotel. Seriously now the place is like an amusement park. Wall drawings everywhere, showing ancient Gods, signs etc. The room was a pleasure itself! The owner must be a genius for transforming his hotel to... More

Great looking hotel, nice friendly staff. Good breakfast including full English, good choice for evening meals. Shame about the other guests, mainly Eastern European who all looked like they were in a concentration camp and not on holiday !! For this reason we decided to dine and socialise elsewhere !! Air con was very poor, i got more of a... More

Once you have admired the surroundings of the hotel on arrival, i.e. the lobby, the décor and the pool, we found the hotel to be rather disappointing. The staff were ambivalent, if not rude, and the service slow. There are fees for Wi-Fi and for the use of an iron. We were unfortunate to be sharing our holiday with a... More

I have just returned from yet another very pleasant, 18-day stay at the Roman. It's an unusual design with Roman and Greek deities adorning every available wall and alcove; many walls are clad with floor-to-ceiling mirrors giving an illusion of space. I must say I do not recognise most of the comments posted alongside as representative of my experience. The... More

Very quirky. You can't take this place seriously and need to go with your sense of humour. It's a bit of a giggle. The sheer magnitude of Romanesque / Ancient Greek decor is impressive. The Hotel has been running a long time and they know what they are doing. It's really cheap, especially for Paphos and even so the buffet... More

The staff is very rute, very old furnitures, no aircondition ( it is broken and when we asked them to give us another room they said that this is not possible even though they had free rooms available,we could not sleep the whole night ... no wifi,if you want wifi then the hotel charges you 5euros/hour, a slice of watermelon... Should now be renamed the Russian Hotel!! This is the 3rd time we have stayed here, the first time in 2000, when there was a nice mixture of nationality's, but this time I think every other guest and all the staff were Russian, which in itself is not a problem, but everything is geared up to meet their needs. The... More

I stayed at the Roman hotel for a week in October 2013. I asked for twin beds but got a double. But I'm not one to complain.so I just got on with it. The bed was very hard, hurt my back and I had to sleep on pillows. There was no air on, thankfully there was a breeze at night... More
