There was a few hic-ups to say the least when we arrived( no fault of the hotel but the tour operators- olympic+travel councellors), and what had been months of planning our dream wedding seem to be fading away, untill we met the fantastic, friendly, helpful staff of Alexander the great hotel, espescially two people that we carnt thank enough for... more

Great hotel, very clean and spacious. On your first day you can reserve a sunbed so you don't to get up at the crack dawn to get the one you want, there are plenty to choose from and they are either next to the pool, on the grass or facing the sea. The hotel is within easy walking distance to... more

Just returned today after staying a week. Lovely hotel cant really fault it. Breakfast was lovely. The sunbed system was great, wish every hotel used this, saves having to put towels down everyday. Location was perfect too. Friendly staff. Would definately return. more

We had a superior room which was fabulous. Wonderful views - watching sunset each night from the balcony. We also had room service for lunch a couple of days and used the hotel telephone daily. Charges very reasonable and about a quarter of what we would have expected for this level of service. Could not fault the Hotel in the... more

On the whole this is a good hotel mostly suited to older couples and families. The service was good and the staff attentive and listened and dealt with complaints satisfactorily. I had to complain after the first night when i was placed in a ground floor room and it was very noisy (water system) with thin walls and i almost... more

Stayed during mid May 2009.Great location with only a few minutes walk to harbour.Pool is nice and allocation of sunbeds seemed to work ok.Public rooms and bar area was ok and quite nicely decorated.Be prepared to wait for a drink on balcony as the waitress service is so slow.Carpets on all floors outside rooms are disgusting. Breakfast are typical and... more

The general facts location, facilities, rooms, restaurants etc are well reported so here's some additional end of May/2009 updates: Drinks Prices. Previous contributors have indicated exorbitant prices for drinks. I cannot agree. I found drinks prices moderate and Happy Hour (1630-1730 at Pella Pool Bar and 1730-1830 at the Terrace Lounge) is brilliant value, examples: Pella Pool Bar - daytime.... more
