This was our first time at the Elysium and will probably our last unless they re-think their costings. Our bed and breakfast 2 weeks cost over £5,000 with flights from our local airport and we paid another £2,000 for the meals and drinks in-house (a Kir Royale costs virtually £17!). The Elysium is a very good hotel, made special by the staff who are really great. Fabulous location, fabulous facilities, but...! The rooms are definitely not up to a good 5 star standard, being quite small and even having an ordinary over-bath shower complete with tacky plastic shower curtain.
