We stayed at Ambelikos Hotel a couple of years ago and always wanted to go back. Having wanted to spend a weekend skiing in Troodos we booked an overnight stay with Akis who remembered us from our previous visit. On arrival it was like we had never been away and we were welcomed back in Akis' usual laid back way.... More

Ambelikos agro hotel is a little jewel in this mountainous region of Cyprus. Potamitissa village is brilliantly located to explore this interesting and characterful area of the island. Ambelikos is homely, comfortable and provides a little haven for travellers of all kinds. Our room (13) had a gorgeous four poster bed, a working fireplace and an awesome jacuzzi bath. Akis... More

My wife and I have stayed for a few days at Ambelikos twice in the last few months, the second occasion in the company of another couple. On both occasions the peace and tranquillity of Ambelikos coupled with the superb service and hospitality offered by the owner, Akis have ensured that we will return for more stays. These thoughts were... More

A visit to Ambelikos is like another trip back home for me! I have visited it 4 times last year, and on every trip I try to include it –depending on the time I have. As a Guide Writer who comes to Cyprus in an attempt to search for genuine hidden gems, I find Ambelikos being one such gem in... More

We were very fortunate to have a personal recommendation for this lovely place where we 1st stayed in September 2011. We very quickly decided that it was the perfect place for our Walking Group's annual autumn break. Although there were 18 of us in total, plus another group staying at the same time, the service was impeccable and the food... More

After 4 years in Cyprus this was my first experience of a typical Cypriot hotel, in a typical Cypriot village with Cypriot food excellently prepared and served up by the ever present Akis. An excellent break and highly recommended. More

I could not have anticipated such an enjoyable stay. Our room was comfortable and cleanliness was top class. Our host Akis always seemed to be available to us, and nothing was too much of a problem for him to sort out. He was there at breakfast asking us how many eggs we required and so it progressed through the meal.... More

We decided to take a trip into the Troodos mountains after a week at the coast. We wanted a genuine cypriot experience rather than the good but largely British experience we had near Paphos. We booked Room 15 which was a loft room overlooking the village of Potamitissa. At 5'2 I laughed at the height of the four poster bed... More
