Having stayed with friends in the Colony Hotel in Kyrenia for a week, which we thoroughly enjoyed, we travelled down to the Mercure Hotel for a few days by the sea to relax. Having visited the Mercure last year in July we were looking forward to a quiet relaxing stay with excellent food and service in the pool side restaurant.... more

The pool and beach areas are extremely pleasant, set in a beautifully maniured garden. The rooms are adequate, although the decor is starting to look a bit dated. The service was pretty bad, reception couldn't even tell me the correct price of breakfast. Clientele mainly Turkish, which means loud Turkish pop music at the beach and pool. We stayed in the Mercour in Kyrenia Cyprus. It is a beautiful hotel by the sea. We had a suite. One bedroom and one sitting room. Great view of the sea from this room.
