We stayed at the Arkin for a week beginning the 5th March, and really couldn't fault it. The food and service in the restaurant were both great, staff very attentive and the selection of food was amazing. We didn't choose a sea view room which if we stayed again probably would, but we have no complaints with the room we... More

This is a very comfortable hotel with good facilities. However, my wife and I did find the hotel somewhat inflexible in relation to food .As a result I was forced to eat out throughout our one week half board stay. We were not allowed to take our duty free bottle of liqueur to our room on arrival which was a... More

Efficient modern beachside hotel, located a couple of minutes from the sea gate entrance to the ancient walled city of Famagusta. Modern airconditioned rooms which unfortunately lack baths except in the more expensive suites. Beautiful view from the common access balcony area overlooking the small stretch of beach. Breakfast and dinner were included in the price, and there is access... More

I'd just readVictoria Hislopsbook The Sunrise, so had to take a quick picture to show my friend back home. We were just visiting but the hotel was modern, spacious and clean and lunch was very pleasant. it was an... More

This was my second trip and I had forgotten how quiet, charming and relaxing this wonderful hotel is! The location is quiet (so not for fans of abundant nightlife) but for me that's a bonus. The beach and view of the Meditteranean are wonderful. The staff are extremely helpful. The hotel is decorated in the most beautiful way and there... More

We first spent Christmas at Palm Beach in 2012, thought then that this was an excellent hotel. We returned to Palm Beach for Christmas 2014, stayed Christmas Eve and Christmas night. The hotel was even better than our last stay, beautifully decorated, rooms spotless, food excellent and plenty of choice. The staff and the management team very friendly, polite and... More

We have just returned from a two night stay over Christmas at the Arkin Palm Beach Resort Famagusta. We had a fantastic time. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. You couldn't have asked for better staff. The facilities were great and the food was second to none! Would definately recommend and we're already thinking of booking again for... More

Famagusta is a very special place, a medieval town filled with ruins of beautiful gothic churches and circled by astonishing walls that resisted assault by 150,000 Ottomans in 1570-71. Eventually few Venetian survivors had to surrender because of starvation and diseases. Next to the old town there is the ghost town of Varosha, fled in 1974 by 60,000 Greeks to... More
