Nice place at a relatively affordable price. We had a room in the dependance. Lots of space but no door in the toilet (what the heck! seriously!). cracked tiles on the bathroom floor. No elevator and no one offered to help carrying our luggage. Room are spacious and clean. Altogether nice. The receptionist was often absent (I had to chase... More

The hotel was about a 15 min walk from the train station and about a 10 min walk to the city centre. It felt like a safe area, and was quiet at night. We were travelling as a group of 4 adults and wanted to spend one night in Luxembourg, so we weren't looking for luxury, so I would say... More

Located in a nice part of Luxembourg ville and only 10min walk from the city centre. The hotel has a lot of character but the rooms are very basic. There was only a small desk to work from and the decor was dated. They have a small car park and the wireless is very good. It's a fine hotel for... More

From the outside this hotel looked very nice. Please note Hotel owner: FIRST IMPRESSIONS COUNT. After leaving the uk at 10 in the morning and getting to your Hotel at 7, I don't want to be met by a scruffy, surly receptionist. If you don't like people, don't be in the hospitality industry. Too much too say about her attitude.... More

I arrived late but there was no problem with a late check-in. I meant to leave at 11 am according to check-out rules but was pushed to do so earlier. The room was fine, quite big but dark. Breakfasts were very tasty. I don't know why I got a bottle of water included in my bill (I didn't get any).

The Chatelet is on the Boulevard de la Petrusse, which rings around the cliff over the river separating the city from the old town. It was just a 15 minute picturesque walk to the old city, across the Adolph Bridge and when we were tired it was easy to flag a taxi to take us home. The hotel itself is fashioned... More

This hotel is nothing fancy, but our room was great, and came at a great price. The Hotel is in between the "downtown" and the train station, and this was perfect for our one night stopover since we could walk everywhere and yet still be on an early train after having a very substantial free breakfast thanks to Chatelet!

We stayed just for one night, driving from Brugge to Reims. I booked it through the hotel and my reservation stated it would be a BUDGET room ,small with 2 twin beds in the basement. It was prepaid 4 months in advance. We arrived an hour before check in, and the cool recepcionist told us "to go to get lunch and... More

The Hotel was immaculately clean, Good location...a very easy walk from train station, If you are reasonably fit, it is also an easy walk to city center/old town area. Good breakfast...eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, cereals, juices, coffee, tea, assorted breads & rolls. Insufficient hot water. No room darkening shades. Bottom line...I would probably stay here again.

When we arrived the receptionist had a very cold manner. It is a pity because this is potentially a good hotel. I would warn people to watch the step at the entrance to the reception. My wife, who doesn't drink and has excellent eyesight, had a nasty fall on it. There was no one on reception at the time but... More
