The rooms are large to say the least but oldfashioned. The bathrooms date back to the 1960s, there is no aircon. The restaurant is not what you expect from a 5-star hotel, ask for orange-juice and they will simply serve you a bottle of something orange, the food is average at best. On Saturday they have a cold and warm... More

We spent a week here in a large, comfortable room with great views from the balcony. It is on the edge of Echternach, near the lake, about 25 min walk to the town centre. There are lots of activities available, indoor and out door swimming pools, sauna, gym, tennis, table tennis, squash and snooker. We used the excellent outdoor pool... More

This hotel is very comfortable and well appointed if a little old fashioned. The room was very large and comfortable, but the bathroom was a bit dated although very clean and fresh. We had dinner in the restaurant both nights, the Saturday buffet being excellent. the Sunday set menu offered no choice and was dis-appointing after the buffet. Breakfast was... More

We stayed here recently with our eldest son and daughter in law, although the first impression was that the exterior could do with freshening up we were very impressed with the interior of the hotel and the surroundings were stunning. The rooms whilst quite old fashioned, were of a reasonable standard but very clean, with the bathrooms being very modern... More

Yes this property is old-fashioned, brown bathroom suites, no airco, poor wifi coverage .... However .... sometimes old-fashioned is a virtue. The location is extremely peaceful with fantastic views from the terrace or lake facing rooms. The staff are really lovely, friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant is also very good, if a little reassuringly expensive. The rooms... More

We chose this hotel for a scenic Spa break whilst my huband recovered from surgery. We were not disappointed with the location however the hotel was hard to find since the address did not register on Tom Tom, however we found the general location and asked for directions. On arrival we were greeted warmly and following checkin our bags were... More

We were booked in here by another party and some of the reviews we read seemed rather critical. We needn't have worried as our room was well furnished, clean and large with good bathroom facilities. The breakfast was extensive and the cooked items fresh. There is a large terrace outside the restaurant where you can eat if the weather is... More

We stayed here with our baby - which I was dreading a bit because it is a 5 star hotel and you somehow feel you might not be welcome with babies. Not the case at all - the staff were so accommodating and friendly and the manager (Robert) brought professionalism into the restaurant. We had very good value meals -... More

We booked this hotel to enjoy the scenery and the wellness centre. The scenery was great, but expect for the spa all other facilities at the wellness centre were not available. The rooms were spacious but out dated. Staff were friendly but not always well informed. The lounge was sticky and warm and service was average. It felt like the... More

The hotel has a 1960’s atmosphere that brings you back into another era. The reception, restaurant and bedrooms are dated. As is the old fashioned, formal decorum which the staff and management seems to want to uphold (running children are frowned upon). Nevertheless, staff is correct and friendly. The bedrooms on the sunside are outdated with old carpets and furniture... More
