We stayed in one of the apartments behind the hotel and had a wonderful time. The staff is friendly and helpful. Some speak English quite well, others have only a smattering, but they all were friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very good. Booked for one night via their webpage. Decision based entirely on Trip Advisor and webpage images. Room was clean and prices decent. No elevator and upper floors accessible with spiral staircase. I was happy with Le Pavillion. It was a short walk from from the bus station and is mere steps from the square (mind you, in Echternach, everything is mere steps from everything else). “French Gem in Lux”

A small, comfortable hotel in the heart of Old Echternach. Our room was small but very nicely decorated, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was kind and tolerated our attempts to practice our very poor French. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. A great stay in a great, old town.
