Relaxed atmosphere at this hotel just a short and pleasant walk into the centre of the town.A short walk to ferry terminal and most sights within walking distance. Great views of the island of Nolsoy all day from the sea view rooms and from the coast nearby. The hotel feels relatively new, some quirky design details and Nordic furnishings throughout. Breakfast... More

Two nights here but I was very happy with the place. Hotel Streym offers very good value pricing for a destination that you might think would carry a premium. No frills, very simple furnishings and decor but clean & everything you'd need. My only gripe was the small bed and thin mattress. Good breakfast, strong wi-fi and car hire at... More

Location for this hotel is absolutely OK - it takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the city center. But as a hotel I can not give it more than two stars. It seems fairly new but somehow falling apart and a bit scruffy. In our room (307) there is even a hidden window filled with Rockwoll. Never seen that before... More

There are not too many options for accommodation not the Faroe Islands. The Hotel Streym was very comfortable and a great location if you have a car (as you can avoid many of the narrow streets). It is in walking distance of town and the harbour and we had a room with great sea views, so we could watch the... More

I stayed at Hotel Streym for 5 nights. My room was on the 1st floor with seaview, which was quite nice, once, at night, I could hear the sea. The street in front of the hotel is really busy (for Tórshavn standards), but that didn't bother me at all, and I had very good sleeping nights. The room is spacious,... More

This was a pleasant stay, the hotel is full og Scandinavian modern minimalism, IKEA furniture and so on, but spotlessly clean. The breakfast is descent, with a good variety. The Hotel is nothing more than it says it is, cheap, clean and basic, but keeping that in mind you are getting an excellent value for money here. I recommend the... More

The hotel is just AVERAGE, but not bad. The location is not central for Torshavn (very small town) and about a ten min walk into town. Wifi wasn't working much at all which was a big problem for us and when we asked the reception staff about it they didn't seem to understand what we were talking about. But all... More

We stayed for three nights after jumping off the Iceland ferry. Staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfasts which were always fresh and replenished often. The motel is an enjoyable walk from the centre of town and with bus stops nearby, easy to get around.

Nice and peaceful hotel, not far from center, next to the sea. 5-10 minutes walk to the very center of the town. Most (all?) of the rooms have a sea view. There is no elevator in the 3-floor hotel, only narrow stairs. Friendly and helpful staff, easy to have excursions and transfers organised. Also car rental available at hotel. However,... More

A pleasant hotel with relatively good access, on foot or car, to the centre of the quaint capital, Torshavn. The rooms are spotless, if a little tight for space but if you are facing the front they are a little noisy and the curtains do not provide blackout or close to it which might be an issue in the long...
