There are many positives about this hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The staff really do their best. Every room has a view and there is free wifi. The breakfast is excellent. Just be prepared for the fact that it is quite far from the town centre and there is no room service or food service late at... More

The hotel rooms and services were excellent, although it was a 20-25 minute walk into town (uphill all the way back to the hotel). This would not have a been a problem under normal circumstances but seeing as it rained the two days were there it was a bit inconvenient. Luckily, there is a bar/restaurant in the hotel so we... I stayed here for a 3 night weekend break in late June but was a little underwhlemed by the experience. It's a decent enough hotel inside with clean, comfortable rooms and excellent views across Torshavn harbour but the entire experience was still lacking in some important respects. The hotel is on the very edge of town and there is a... More

The hotel is built in a committed modern style, which may or may not become a classic building sometime in the future. It is certainly a comfortable and well-equipped international business type hotel. When we arrived we tried to book the restaurant for that evening to be told that the restaurant had been fully-booked a week ago. This entailed a... More

This is a four-star hotel, positioning itself as one of the two most premium national hotels in the Faroe Islands. I was sick and need to some hot instant noodle, I called the front desk and asked them to deliver a bowl and a fork to my room. They said they will need to charge 50 DKK for that. Four... More

Great design hotel for walking people. Excellent view from hotel rooms, which all overlooking the city and harbour of Torshavn. Small bar and eating place, very extended breakfast. In the hotel is also situated restaurant "KOKS". Plenty of parking space in front of hotel. But hotel rooms are not very suitable for a wheelchair user. Not easy to take a... More

Fantastic views over the harbour. It is quite a walk into town though. I asked about renting a car and the next day there was one available in the car park - I didn't even need to get to the car hire place. Great service, thank you. (The soup was horribly salty though!)

I liked staying at Hotel Foroyar. The room is spacious, with everything you need, nice view, TV, even bath and floor heating in the bathroom. The funny part is that there are sheep right behind your window. The interior decoration of the corridors is a bit unusual though. The breakfast offers a big choice with smoothies and local products. We... More

We had a bridge competition in the Faroe islands. Two first days were rainy and windy, luckily we were inside. But when weather was better you can see wonderfull view and nice city in wolkable distance. We liked a lot.

I guess I could quibble a bit about the breakfasts. But our room is more than fine. It's large, nicely furnished, with puffy comforters and pillows and a sweeping view of the harbor. Plus the fabulous Koks Restaurant (more about Koks in a future post) is just a corridor and a staircase away. The city center is within easy driving... More
