We stayed here for the 2015 eclipse, although actually went elsewhere to view the event. It is a modern hotel with a nice feel to it, the turf roofs blending it into the hillside. As everyone says, the views are fantastic and you can watch the ferries and cruise liners come and go in the harbour below. The staff were... More

A nice hotel with a great location overlooking Torshavn. Designed by Philip Starck with reasonable rooms. The rooms have nothing special to be proud of. Some things are missing to make this hotel a real 4 star hotel. -They clean the rooms very late. -Being in Scandinavia with 280 rainy days a sauna in the hotel and a spa would... More

The hotel is set into the hill above Torshavn so has a wonderful view down over the town to the sea. All rooms, except the suites are the same and all have the view. Large rooms well furnished and the best bag of toiletries I have ever seen. Very quiet location. Breakfast is a splendid buffet of hot and cold... More

From the windows in your room you have a really wonderful view over Tórshavn and the sea; the walk to the city center is enjoyable and you get both the feeling of being in the nature and being close to the city. The hotel service is good and the rooms nice and modern. Very recommendable.

Several of us were staying here on a shoot based on the Faroes and it worked out well for our job. It is a smart modern hotel without a pool or gym but instead with the whole landscape that goes with the Faroe Islands to entertain you. Being based up the hill from town you overlook Torshaven and will need... More

Hotel of course is scandinavian standard so not luxury at all. Just simple outfitting. But what makes it great is service: reception girl on arrival was very helpful and nice a guy at check out was very friendly. You can feel like You came to visit Your family and they are really glad to see You. Breakfast is ok. Very... More

The restaurant Koks is a must. Hotel and rooms mostly standard four star with lovely local paintings in the lobby. Surroundings great for walking and with the possibility of going horseback riding with Icelandic horses.

Visit the hotel 2 times, and noticed after my last trip that the hotel had drawn from my private credit card account extra money without my acceptance. On my first trip I used my private credit card to pay for some meal in the restaurant and the company card for the room, second time and did not use my private... More

We spent 4 nights at the Hotel Foroyar, and very much enjoyed it, using it as a base to explore many of the islands. It is up the hill above the city of Torshavn, and features a wonderful view of downtown and the ever-changing weather/sky, cozy rooms, clean, comfortable, fantastic breakfast (salmon especially) and views from the breakfast room, and...
