This is your basic Faroese hotel. You get a room and a bed. Nothing more but then again nothing less. The location in Klaksvik is good and the staff is friendly. They have a restaurant that serves a set menu. However you can't get beer/wine with it.

Klaksvik, the second largest town in the Faroes is a little deprived of character and the hotel, it must be said, tends to reflect this. It is clean, comfortable with pleasant rooms. It is, however, lacking in any ambience and taste. Breakfast was good but again nothing special. The views from the hotel are good if you face the harbour,... More

We stayed in Klaksvik for two nights and were very pleased with this hotel. Some of the reviews are perhaps a little unfair. Yes it is a basic hotel but its comfortable, friendly and very clean. It is very remote after all! Breakfast was good. Dinner wasn't being served when we were there but as well as the Hereford Restaurant... More

We stayed here for our first 2 nights in the Faroes - the hotel is clean, the staff our friendly, and it is right in the town centre. There are evening meals served for DKK180pp (no choice, just what's been cooked, but it was always tasty and the portions were more than generous). It is a nice location with great... More

Nothing much to say; in all respects below the average that we stay in at least, and the only option in Klaksvik, which might puzzle you initially as the name written on the front of the hotel is something else entirely. Breakfast below average in choice, no restaurant, no lift, no help with carrying bags upstairs, room OK. Best of luck... More

Very nice stay except for possibly the seagulls who seemed to be outside our window screaming at first light this morning. the bathroom had the one unit fits all but with a shower curtain so it was possible to shower without getting everything wet. The beds were fine as well. Internet was free so always good. Breakfast had a good... More

The north eastern part of the Faroe Islands is very, very pretty!! I am talking about Vidareidi, Kunoy, Kalsoy and the two tiny islands of Fugloy and Svinoy! It is too far and too tiring to travel all the way from Tórshavn to the east, discover all the beauties and turn back to Tórshavn the same evening! I really would... More

This is originaly "the seamens home" - a christian driven hotel. Hotel has been renovated. Nice scandinavian style (simple) rooms. Very good bathrooms and a perfect view over the bay/habour. Standard Scandinavian breakfast: freshly baked bread, cheese, cold cuts, jam, boiled eggs. (included). Restaurant serves a single type of dinners for a fixed price: can be wonderful buffet with several... More

This hotel is clean, spartan, but central to the wharf. On the other hand nothing is far in Klaksvik. The lady at the front desk was more than nice and the lady who perpared the room also appeared eager to make us feel good. Parking is limited (as far as we could tell) to the area in front of the... Stayed at this hotel in early August. The hotel was very easy to find, even though it is in the 2nd largest city in the Faroe Islands. Easy parking at the front of the building and a level walk into the hotel to be greeted by friendly staff at reception. Check-in was efficient and our room was very clean with... More
