The views from the bedroom over looking the Grand Harbour are fantastic. The location to the shopping and activities in Valetta is excellent, only walking distance. The reception is a little tired but the room was clean and modern.Would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Valetta when you want to explore and see the city attractions.

Stayed in this hotel for 7 nights and enjoyed every second. Worth paying extra for the view and balcony. The breakfast is perfectly adequate and exactly what you would expect for the price. When we had dinner here i had the swordfish and my daughter tried the tuna, both were good. the service was top quality and friendly.(the only gripe... More

Management and Staff The staff is quite friendly, mainly the personal working in the restaurant. Also the people at the reception were always willing to help with anything they could. Location The hotel is located very nearby the center of Valletta with a great view on the port. It's a convenient place to start your daily trips into Valletta or... More

My husband and I visited this hotel for dinner. First impressions of the dining area was that the furniture is worn and old fashioned. For quite a while we were the only two diners but I enjoyed my main meal of lasagne. My husband however found his swordfish to be too rubbery. This offended the cook, the waiter and the... More

I am sometimes amazed by certain reviews which are totally not incorrect and if I was not present I would not have even bothered to respond to but the fact I was working and saw and heard with my own eyes and ears makes me want to correct the facts. First of all we don not have lasagne on the... More

Although not staying at the hotel, we were drawn in by the spectacular vews from the restauant. The foood, however, left much to be desired. We ordered the most expensive sreak on the menu, to find it was tough. and gristlly. The vegetables were over cooked from frozen, and soggy. ( had to get a snack elsewhere, as could not... More

thanks for your review however I would like to point out that when you ordered the steak , you specifically asked it to be very well done which of course will make the meat less tender and dry. The other person ordered a Beef olives which must have been good since the palte was returned clean. I cannot understand how... More

I did not stay in the hotel but on passing thought the view for dinner would be great and it was. However, the food was not up to scratch. I think it was mainly frozen goods made on the quick. The breaded fish (plaice) deff came from a packet along with the veg not drained properly, so they were full... More

I was surprised by your choice of food as breaded plaice is imported from abroad since its a fresh water fish , so yes it comes frozen not like swordfish or tuna which is fresh and available on the menu . The octipus stew is local and it was fine as per your comments. That is why there is a... More

Plus : ideally located in the old city of Valetta, a stunning view on the three cities, some rooms can accommodate up to 4 people. Minus : a renovation is overdue, the breakfast. The Wi Fi is available in the hotel, but not in the rooms.

This hotel is a hidden gem in Valletta, with a fabulous view over the harbour. It is not posh, but simply a nice place to stay full of genuine Maltese charm, with a touch of British eccentricity and reflects the hospitality which was first recorded by St Luke two thousand years ago. The staff were so helpful and genuinely wanted... More

Spent 6 days and found the hotel and Valletta (first visit) really great. Views from the terrace and balconies over the harbour are unbeatable and the rooms, though basic, are fine. Helpful and friendly owners/ staff and made a change to stay in a place with character. There's more in Valletta than the guide books say..lots of eating places open... More

The British Hotel is the most charming family run hotel. Do not expect room service or haute cuisine, but we were taken by the pure casual charm of the delightful family run hotel. Very greatful for a lovely balcony view, but if you don't get a bedroom view go early to breakfast to get a wonderful seat to look over... More
