We stayed at the Waterfront for 14 nights but they were all sleepless. The hotel is great and the staff are lovely and friendly, but, we paid extra for a harbour view and balcony and we were chuffed when we arrived and found that we had a fantastic room. Unfortunately we couldn't use the TWO balconies due to excessive traffic... more

This is our third time at this hotel in the last 7 or 8 years. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean by the daily maid visits. The bathrooms are getting a little dated and perhaps the carpets are ready for replacement but I would expect with such a major overhaul the cost of the rooms would also go up. But... more

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last two years as it offers all you need for a stay in Sliema. My only gripe is no tea/coffee making facility in your room and having a twin bedded room for single occupancy. I'm not sure even if they have double beds for double occupancy, worth checking out. Ideal location... more

Excellent location as the name suggests. Stayed here for a week and experienced no problems at all. Rooms were clean and well fitted. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with lots to choose from. Only had the dinner once which again was good with lots of Maltese food on offer. Would stay here again. more

The Waterfront is a welcoming friendly hotel with excellent service from all the staff. The location is perfect as there is so much to do in this area. You are able to catch the tourist buses or use the boat trips without walking very far. The breakfasts were excellent and the Basilico restaurant and the Coffee Shop were good value... more

This is your typical good quality middle of the road hotel. I think it offers pretty good value for money, has modern, comfortable amenities, is clean and bright, and the staff are excellent. What it doesn't have is character, or anything hugely individual about it. It's like being in any one of thousands of hotels across the world. Not that... more

My wife and I opted for The Waterfront to celebrate her 50th birthday. We hadn't been to Malta before, so it was a shot in the dark. And in the dark was when we arrived, so we were pleased to see a bright, cheerful, welcoming hotel. The reception staff got through booking in quickly and efficiently so that we could... more

Just returned from our first visit to Malta and stayed at this hotel. Having read trip advisor, booked high floor, sea facing. Room was excellent, corner on 5th floor and fantastic view over to Valetta. Some traffic noise. Very clean hotel, staff very professional. Rooftop pool, but too breezy to sit at. Half board and breakfasts good, lovely crispy bacon!... more

This is a good hotel located opposite Manoel Island on the quieter side of Sliema. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but there are a few niggles. For example, unlike just about any other hotel I have stayed at in Malta (or elsewheer), there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. When I questioned this, the housekeeper gave me... more
