The hotel is at the top of the hill in the centre of Sliema, with the shops, ferries, buses, beach-front promenade and tourist facilities all a five minute walk away at the bottom of the hill. there is a bus (21) which will bring you from the Sliema Ferries up the hill almost to the hotel door as well. The... More

I stayed at the hotel for 1 week from the 31st March. The hotels public areas are bright and clean. The bedrooms however are a different matter. The room I stayed in had not seen a coat of paint for many years and was very dowdy. The bathroom needed a complete makeover. The area round the plug had lost most... More

We chose to stay at the Imperial Hotel because we like small hotels and the virtual tour we watched on the web site made it all look wonderful! We read reviews that were good and some that were bad but just loved the look of the place. We were not disappointed! The staff were fab, nothing was too much trouble. Our room... More

I spent there 4 nights. Hotel market itself as 3 star establishment. It could be true, but many years ago. Now, it is pretty basic and definitely well below 3 star mark. I paid a very good price for my stay therefore I cannot complain. Yes, it's true what others write about entrance hall - impressive main hall. But the... More

I agree with Juscius - you get what you pay for. We had a perfectly comfortable, quiet room overlooking the garden - the bathrooms are definitely needing a makeover, but we got a fantastic deal with Amoma [€128 for four nights' B&B] and it was great to see this historic hotel & the lovely staircase - more fun than staying... First of all, this hotel is based in a great location - 10 min walk distance to all boat trips, cafes, shops and etc. The value you get living there is equal to what you pay for. I have read many bad reviews before coming here, so I was a bit afraid what will our experiece be. But the hotel... More

I booked this hotel purely because of the pictures of its beautiful entrance hall - after all, who can resist those gorgeous chandeliers and sweeping double staircase? Probably not the best way to choose a hotel for a fortnight but in this case, it worked for us! Yes, it's a bit tatty in places, and some of the furniture, especially... More

Staff very friendly and breakfast, big choice for everyone. The entrance to the hotel is impressive but our room was in desperate need of an update. It was too far from the shops so would not choose to stay there again. But cannot say enough about all the staff nothing was too much trouble.

This hotel was really good value and clean though rooms were a little tired the breakfast were fine and plentiful The staff could have been a little more cheerful but I think they were a little understaffed at times The parking was awful having to park between solid metal bollards with inches to spare and being on a one way... I was there in Feb./Mar.2014 for some weeks and will be there next year again. The hotel was full with elderly, satisfied guests. For sure lots of them will be there year by year by year. For the entrance and the lounge five stars are not enough, the pool is clear and refreshened, the garden so wonderful. Is there any... More
