Horrible place!! Unhelpful. I found meat in the veggies which isn't a problem to everyone but I'm a vegetarian. The mattress had a spring coming straight through. No lift and was on the 2nd floor. Was told to get of the stairs by cleaners wen there was no other way up to our room. Was full if students that smashed... More

Dear Ms. Tiffany P, Thank you for taking you time to place your views on Tripadvisor. I would appreciate if you could indicate the dates of your travel so as to give a better view with regards to the ‘found meat in the veggies’ as your comments give the impression that the hotel does not offer a vegetarian section, which... First impressions "lost for words" the hotel is in a time capsule at least 50 years out of date.My room was 345, the lift was broken the entire duration of my stay.I did have to carry all my luggage up three flights of stairs they do not provide any butler service. The room was very dated with the old TV box... 3 nights at this hotel. Lots of students as listed by other reviewers but instructors were in attendance and they were more or less well behaved. No shampoo in the room and you had to pay 10 euros to borrow a hairdryer for the duration of your trip. Lift still broken. Swimming pool a bonus. Bus right outside which took... More

This was our second holiday at this hotel - 1 week last year, 1 week this year. It was the first, and is the oldest, hotel in Malta and back in the day it must have been a grand place indeed. Sadly not so much so now :( The main entrance and lounge are still impressive, but it's definitely a... More

For sure, the hotel staff was amazing and very helpful. Also, the hotel has its charm and character. However, I would suggest investing in renovating your rooms and bathrooms in particular! So it is good and bad in patches!

we expected a relaxing holiday but it was anything but. the lift was not working when we arrived and wasnt when we left. given a room that was like staying in an oven, the air conditioning was not working with the temperature in the 38 degrees. eventually got moved after a lot of fuss. the food standard of hygiene was... We stayed here 7 to 14 July 2015. We chose the hotel as it looked like it had character and not ultra trendy as we're not into that. The location is perfect for everything so we couldn't fault it there at all. We were bed and breakfast. Our room on the 3rd floor was pretty standard but clean, nice view... More

What can be said about The Imperial that hasn't been said? A lot of the positives and negatives all of which are correct in some way or another. The hotel doesn't pretend to be anything it isn't. In it's heyday it must have been an amazing place to stay. The location is ideal for both Sliena an St Julien's Bay,... More

My partner and I Stayed here for the 1st week in July. We got ourselves a very cheap deal and I had seen all the negative reviews so was dreading the hotel to be honest! I could not of been more wrong! we knew this wasn't a 5 star hotel so our expectations were not high. We arrived in the... More
