This review is just my opinion. Stayed here for a week coming back yesterday. I chose it based on price (very cheap) and character - I didn't want a souless hotel. The public areas are full of character - and it feels you are staying in a proper hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly - previous reviews IMO are... More

Lovely small hotel, good position, very clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff which makes for an enjoyable holiday, definitely worth a return visit. Quiet and well located for ferries and bus stops.

My wife and I visited Malta this year. I'd been about 25 years ago but it was the first visit for my wife. I'm in my 50's and my wife's a few years younger. We don't have kids and we love to travel and see what our holiday destinations have to offer. Sitting round a pool is definitely not our... More

I can fully confirm most of the previous ratings. The Imperial is a really unusual hotel with a unique mixture of: > old fashioned but stylish lobby & bar AND minimalistic and uncomfortable rooms > peaceful quiet inner yard, café & pool area AND noisy rooms where you hear every step on the corridor > very good and central location... I stayed here last night 7/10/14. I booked online from a relatives hospital room around 17.15. At around 17.45 I strolled the very short and convenient walk to the hotel (after receiving my confirmation of booking). First impressions were good. The receptionist seemed a little taken aback by my presence as she had not had anything through regarding my booking.... More

Just spent 7 days here courtesy of Chevron. The location is declared the centre of Sliema - bit a misnomer more halfway between the two sides of the penisular. The first impression is one of its best assets the entrance hall and twin stair case. Our experience of the staff was generally OK friendly...ish but effective, apart from the very... More

We have just returned from a week stay at this hotel. It is a lovely hotel, even if a little dated. The hotel was clean, welcoming and the staff were lovely. The room was cleaned every day with both the towels and bed linen being changed. The buffet breakfast was great value and offered both cold and hot choices to... More

I have been a couple of times to Imperial Hotel. Cleanliness is a must and I can vouch for that! The food is excellent and the staff are really friendly. I definitely recommend this hotel! Wifi is available too. I have visited many 4 and 5 star hotels, but I have never seen hotels so clean such as Imperial. www.imperialhotelmalta.com

I've heard about awful service and rip-off tourists attitude in Malta before, but our experience was a real nightmare. At the front desk you see an Eastern Europenian blond woman with terrible manners, poor English, none professional skills whatsoever. Didn't know the area, plainly rude to the guests, we never heard any of the stuff addressing guests "Sir" or "... More

This hotel is beautiful, however this is cancelled out by an overall lack of any kind of professional or careing service. If you manage to attract someone's attention or heaven forbid need help from someone at the desk, or bar if you ever find either open and manned, they will probably be arrogant, complacent about your needs or request and...
