After a stay with friends on the island, decided to have a few days in a hotel before heading back to work. So pleased that I chose the Fortina Spa Resort, from the moment I arrived in reception the service was excellent ! Beautifully large "boutique style" refurbished 12th floor Sea View room with King Bed, balcony with cushioned arm... More

Was really looking forward to this 1 week holiday with my friend but was very disappointed with the wellness room we had. This is never a 5 * resort. There maybe a few rooms that are timeshare that are a high standard but hotel definitely is not. However the food in the restaurants is very good. I don't think we... More

I was fortunate to stay in the Fortina Spa Resort with a friend for a few days in July. My room was on the 17th floor and the views were absolutely amazing, day and night. The room itself was perfect, very modern decor and quite possibly the biggest bathroom I have ever seen. Double shower, bath, twin sinks and spa... More

I stayed at the Fortina Spa and Resort Hotel in Malta for 7 nights. Highlights were: Spa - Jacuzzi. jet pedi, sauna, steam room, Thalassotherapy session, reflexology and indoor heated swimming pool. Food - world cuisine ranging from Thai food, Chinese, award-winning Indian restaurant, Japanese, English and Mediterranean dishes. Staff - Friendly and accommodating View - picturesque view of Valletta... More

The Fortina Spa is overall a 4* Hotel. You have to stay in the newly refurbished 12th floor rooms, or above. Those rooms are 5* and wonderful. Spacious, clean (as they are very new) chic, modern (grey/white colour scheme, no chintz, none of the usual hotel paintings, no paintings at all). The bathroom is devine. Ensure you request a sea... We had booked a standard room at half board for 10 days in August 2015. Prior to arrival we had decided to upgrade to a spa room and all inclusive. This we found easy to do and the Hotel Receptionist was helpful and efficient. There was a problem with the jacuzzi in the room we had. When this couldn't be... More

Overall we gave 5 stars as for what we paid, the free upgrade on arrival and the excellent room staff it was great value. Pools were good although we preferred the 4* pool as 5* over run by kids from 4* hotel. Was weird sharing facilities as 5* guests got annoyed. Restaurants fabulous although difficult to book. One night we... More

Quite honestly the worst hotel I've stayed at which claims to be 4*. Arrived from airport, with a toddler and 5 year old, for the room not to be ready on time, in fact it was ready late. The tv in the room does not work and 5 days on still has not been fixed despite several requests. There is... More

Bedroom reasonable, but spa facilities in room average. If you wanted to take advantage of spa facilities in hotel you had to trek outside in dressing gown etc., to the supposed sister hotel 4star same name down the road & pay extra for the privilege. The food was adequate, but we only took breakfast there. Hotel reception staff not very... More
