We stayed here for a week at the end of November to the first week in December and had a very enjoyable stay in the Carlton hotel. The hotel is ideally situated between St Julians and Sliema and is literally a stone's throw away from both. The rooms are cleaned daily including the sheets and fresh towels are also given.... Nice hotel and smiling helpful staff. For people who like to be in between Valetta - historical sight and close to Paceville - which is loud. You can't hear the music at all from Carlton but you are still close. Perfect for people who both like nightlife and relatively peaceful sleeping. Again - nice and very helpful staff and no... More

Stayed in mid October, easily got to the hotel via airport bus which stopped outside. went back on taxi arranged by hotel for 5 for about £20. Hotel basic and sea view but no balcony, not that they were very big anyway. Convenient for getting around via buses, not far from the Valletta ferry and the bars in St Julian's.... More

Only thing going for this hotel is the friendliness of the staff and good location for touring Noisey at night - tiny room for standard breakfast not great choice - not value for hard earned money - wouldn't be inclined to stay in room if it was raining - dark and dingy

Hotel staff were extremely helpful - switching us to a sea view room on request, and providing maps and advise about travelling around the area. Each day they told us which bus to get and how long our journey would be. Location was great, with a bus stop immediately outside the hotel with regular buses to all locations on the... More

This was our first time staying at this hotel and to be honest, was not expecting too much as we know Sliema hotels very well. I can honestly say that we had a lovely stay and would go back again. Yes, the decor is a little tired, but you must see beyond that. Take a front sea view room if... More

The hotel is right opposite the beach and has lovely views of the bay. We were on the 3rd floor and had a small but nice balcony. The room was spacious and nicely furnished . The cleaners were there every dsy and fresh towels and sheets were provided. The staff were friendly and couldnt do enough to help. The pool... More

Returned from Malta after a 10 night stay at the Carlton hotel. They say this is a 3 star hotel? We have stayed in better B & Bs. They don't have a bar or lounge for guests. The rooms are very small with only a wardrobe and dressing table.Breakfast is continental and not much choice, it's the same every morning. The staff... This was a last minute trip and I wanted a simple hotel as a base and didn't require a restaurant as we prefer to eat out. Our room was quite plainly furnished but immaculate and was cleaned perfectly every day. All the guys on Reception, day and night, were charming and helpful. The pool on the roof is tiny but...
