I disagree with the reviews that pan this place. I found the staff overworked, sometimes harried, but always attentive and helpful. The non sea-facing rooms are inexpensive, and a little tired, but we weren't there to spend time in the room! We did peek into the sea-facing rooms and they were much cheerier. Breakfast does not start till 07h30, but... More

We had an employee coming to Malta, and wished to book a room for 3 weeks at your hotel. However, we were very surprised when we were told, in an arrogant manner, by Mr Philip DeGiorgio, that you do not accept payments via bank transfer. I have never heard of any business in Malta not accepting bank transfers, more so... More

I stayed just one night in this hotel during a business trip in Malta. I'm not sure where to start... The hotel is dirty, falling apart and very smelly. The pictures on here 'provided my management' actually made me laugh! To give you an idea of what to expect.... burn holes in the carpets, the stench of tabacco smoke throughout... More

I stayed in the sliema hotel for 1 night as my partner was rushed into hospital when we where due to fly home, The hotel room was filthy with stains on every wall, the carpet needed throwing out, the bathroom was disgraceful, filthy is an understatement, and as for the breakfast well a dog would have walked away and left... At that time, 2006, I used only the bedroom, everything was fine to me. Today,13th sept 2013, while at work in a 5 star hotel I was reading tripadvisor about SLIEMA HOTEL, and everybody saying bad things about it, I believe it's true. So I ask director from here. If you want to have this hotel to be one of... More

Booked this hotel after reading some of the reviews and thought how bad could it be. Well it was really bad. I checked out after one night. The bathroom was ok but had a really bad smell in the morning, I think the toilet may have been vented back from the sink/shower. The room was at the the back of... More

We knew before we booked from other reviews this was likely to be a hotel with basic facilities. However nothing prepared us for the less than basic facilities which were available. If all you need is a bed for the night and don't really care if it's quiet enough to sleep with possibly a view of the sea then this... More

I moved from the Europa hotel, rude and arrogant staff, to the Sliema Hotel, where I was met by George who was very friendly , polite and efficient and made me feel welcome. I enjoyed staying there, is great value at a great location overlooking the sea. The rooms were simple but clean and the breakfast adequate but would probably... More

where shall start from. I have eaten thicker biscuits then the pillows provided, even three of them wasn't enough. Do not excpect to find tea and coffee service because you will be very disappionted. Stopper for the bath was missing so you defenitly can't have a bath. The shower was also broken, shower curtain was disgusting. Very nasty smell all over... More

We arrived at the hotel to be met by a cheerful receptionist and the manager. We asked if a fridge was available in the room or a fridge which could be used to store my insulin, as I am diabetic. The manager immediately rang housekeeping to ask them to place a fridge in our room. It was delivered and working... More
