We are just back from 15 nights at Duncan's in Marsaxlokk and must confess to missing wakening up in room 1 and looking out over the harbour from our balconies, there are 2 balconies in this room. As arranged we were picked up at the airport and taken the short 10 minute journey down to Marsaxlokk and our accommodation at... More

What a gem..from the moment we arrived Michael and all his "crew" made us so welcome. The accommodation was excellent and so was Marsaxlokk. Throughout our stay all the staff made time to talk and advise us about local places to visit (or avoid !).We broke our stay with two nights in Gozo which was pretty but we missed the friendliness... "The Duncan Guest House" is ideally situated in Marsaxlokk on the sea front and from there you can travel around the island by bus or on the "Hop on-Hop off" service that leaves from very nearby. The rooms are large, clean and well equipped with air conditioning which is a bonus especially as it was hovering around the 30c on... More

First- Thank you Trip Advisor for giving us an insight into Duncan's before we went. It definately met up to all our expectations. From being met at the airport, by our delightful host, to being left at the airport on our return, we couldn't have wished for more. We asked for room one, as advised, and could not have been... One of the best places we've stayed. The room was large (larger than we expected) and had a small kitchenette (also a welcome surprise). Michael the owner was very helpful and friendly and even lent us a satnav for a trip to the North of the Island. The only problems were the noise at night and the heat in the... More

We have just spent 4 nights at Duncan's having just been on Gozo for 10 days. Although Gozo is billed as the quiet option for Malta, Marsaxlokk is even more laid back, whilst being in driving distance of Mdina, Valletta and other busy highlights (25 mins.). The rooms here are spacious, clean and bright while the service is excellent. The... More

There isn't much choice if you intend to stay in Marsaxlokk and I understand from a local that they have refused planning permission for a hotel to enable the area to retain its charm and character, but it would take a herculean effort for this guest house to be knocked off its No1 perch even with competition. Michael, the owner,... More

We spent a few days in Duncan Guest House, in Room no. 2. The room was comfortable, towels were changed on a daily basis, the bathroom was large and comfortable with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, the breakfast was OK. Nevertheless it spoiled our stay that we could not sleep.... More

We stayed there for a week at the beginning of June, and throughly loved the place. Perfect little fishing village in the SE of Malta. We arranged for a pick up at the airport as we did not arrive till 9pm and the owners father collected us and showed us into our room and seen that we were happy with... More

I have little to add to the reviews below. Mike is a great guy and the rooms and super. It's a lovely place to stay for a night or two but probably not much to keep you entertained beyond that. It's good value, not cheap but not expensive. It's a quality place at about the going rate. It's busy and... More
