The family is so friendly and helpful...they work very hard to make this a unique place to stay. Exceptionally clean and quaint. The breakfast was delicious....especially the homemade baking, bread and cakes! Great location close to everything...what a delightful guesthouse and Gozo is just gorgeous. Awesome experience!

I moved into the Maria Giovanna guest house because I couldn't stay in my apartment rental for my whole stay in Marsalforn. I was so happy to move there! The entire place is obviously well-loved and attended to and full of unique character. The breakfast spread was lovely and the service was even better. My single room was very comfortable... More

OK, one thing first: it is not perfect. We stayed there in September and the weather was hot and humid. So we had to switch on the A/C - but the A/C is really loud, so my husband couldn't sleep. So we switched it off again... then it got humid and hot in the room... I think you see my... More

We loved this little hotel. The family were so welcoming, and made the stay really special by their kindness, attention to detail, and the relaxed atmosphere they create, greeting us each time we returned from excursions. We booked a double superior and twin standard room (fine for two teenagers), the former had more space and an airier feel, but both... More

We loved it! We stayed for a week, 2 adults and 3 teenage boys, using it as our base to explore the stunningly beautiful island of Gozo. Run by twin sisters with help from the generation above and below, they work so unbelievably hard to make everyones' stay one to remember. The building itself is delightful, with an entrance lobby... We stay there for couple of nights, perfect location, near the sea, restaurants, and free public car park. The owner absolutely lovely, and she makes very good cakes. Wonderful choice of breakfast, air conditioning in the rooms and a lift. All positive and fantastic. If we go back to Gozo we will be looking at that place again.

My husband and I have just returned from a weeks stay at Maria Giovanna guest house and I have to say we rate it 10 out of 10 on every level ! The family are so friendly and can't seem to do enough for you. The room we stayed in was beautiful, so rustic and traditional. Spotlessly clean and the... More

We stayed at the Maria Giovanna for the second half of our honeymoon in Gozo. The hotel is classic, beautiful and the attention to detail is delightful from the period feature furniture to the collections and decorations around the whole hotel. The family were very welcoming and friendly and attentive to every need and question we had. The breakfasts were... More

Beautiful B&B located on the edge of a quiet village. Having stayed at the Kempinski 2 yrs ago I have to say on so many levels Maria Giovanna is better and by the way the former was excellent too. Why? It's more true to Gozo, beautifully rustic, a little quirky, very peacefully with the lovely owners doing every thing they... More

Close to centre, and convenient for dive centres, restaurants and the beech. Spacious well proportioned rooms, with stylish furnishing. Superb breakfasts. Hard to fault as a guesthouse, but obviously no in room TV, roof top swimming pool nor bar, if that is what you are looking for then look elsewhere, but if you are not fussed with chain hotels, then...
