The Protea Hotel, Ikeja was a great base on my recent business trip to Lagos. Impressed with the level of security and service. My room has a great bed, wonderful bath and shower room. The suite had a separate lounge with it's own toilet. TVs in both rooms. It was very comfortable. The restaurant was fine but nothing to write... More

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel, check in was a breeze, staff we courteous and paid attention to all details. Rooms are a bit compact but has everything one could need. Good comfortable bed, big screen TV, bottled water, tea/coffee facilities, mini bar, a work desk (big enough to work from), free wifi with excellent speed. The bathrooms... More

I was in Lagos on business and booked one night at this hotel through Expedia, having spent several days at the wonderful Radisson Blu on Victoria Island. On arrival at the hotel, exhausted and ready to relax, I staggered through the door with all of my bags with no offer of help from any members of staff who were disinterestedly... More

Hotel is decent and has inside court with pool, ok gym (nothing fancy but all you need), exactly 1 restaurant with decent food. Rooms are ok in terms of standard and finishing. So all fine for a few days. Overall a bit boutique hotel kind of flavor with limited amount of rooms. Security is good. Minus: Just 1 retsaurant-after 5... More

Tucked in the GRA area of ikeja some 15mins or so away from the international airport, this hotel is simply beautiful. Its slightly more expensive than its cousin in Maryland but my family feels the extra cost is worth it, I differ on that. We stayed in a deluxe room because we were advised by the hotel that it will... More

The hotel is really nice. It has a small but functional gym and pool. The bar is very well stocked and the restaurant is really amazing. The buffet has many choices for dinner and each day the options vary. For breakfast is pretty much standard but really good. The rooms are nice, again comfortable and well lit, they all have... More

If you're looking for a clean, international standard hotel, near to Lagos intentional airport, this place fits the bill. There's a good mixture of Nigerian and international food on offer, none of it cheap. Wifi in the rooms works, but isn't fast enough to sustain a Skype conversation. I was treated courteously, but I didn't get the impression that the... More

I liked the design the design of the room which is decently sized, the bed is very comfortable and Wi-fi available but everything is so pricey, it's a minus. Service wise the staff are nice and helpful, good buffet and that's about it, as I mentioned previously it's good but nothing wow.

In my way in and out of Nigeria. The staff is great with the senior people coming from South Africa. Like all good hotels in Lagos it is expensive ( around $400). The food is very good and varied. The hotel has a nice pool and gym.

This hotel is smaller than some in Lagos and it's well designed. It sits next to a main highway and so avoid the rooms on that side of the hotel. The internal rooms are the quietest and therefore the best. Positives: Modern and spacious rooms, very comfortable beds and dark rooms shutting out the light if you need to sleep... More
