This was our second stay at Wild Goose Lodge in eight months, lots of parties in our family at the moment. Charmaine made us feel as if we were coming home after a long trip away. The place was spotless, as usual, and it was interesting how fast the under tens settled themselves in and started the decorating for the... More

I had been considering WGL as a school trip for many years and I was so pleased that I had finally managed it (booked exclusive use for 5 days). This was the ideal place for my rowing group to stay whilst training on the canal each day. The accommodation is ideal - group rooms for the kids, nice double beds... More

Wild Goose Lodge is spacious and spotlessly clean with lovely rooms. Great location. Lovely view from kitchen over the pond. Great facilities everything you could need including a bar, tv and pool table. The manager Charmaine is very friendly and helpful. This place is a gem of a find.

First I must complement the manager of WGL for all her help and assistance before and during our weekend at WGL. There were 18 adults, 2 teenagers, 5 young children and a 3 month old baby in our group and everyone, even the teenagers, was full of complements and asking if we could return for our next family weekend. The... More

I do not make a habit of leaving bad reviews, but the treatment we received from the management of the wgl prior to, during, and subsequent to our stay has compelled me to do so. We are a group of old school friends, late forties, with kids from 7-14. For the last 4 years we have booked out a yha... More

As we hope readers will see from all the other reviews, we try our hardest to accommodate as many guest requests as we can. Sadly every so often we receive requests that go against the terms of our Venue Licence and Health & Safety Legislation. We have to decline these. Sadly, very occasionally we also receive threats of bad reviews... More

We took Wild Goose Lodge with sole occupancy for the 2nd May make holiday weekend. We had over 30 guests who were all very comfortable with good quality towels and linen provided. The Lodge is very spacious with a large dining hall, kitchen, bar area and a games room. We also spent lots of time playing games in the sunny... More

30 members of our family ranging from 4 to 70+ enjoyed our stay at wild goose lodge. There was something for everyone- kayaks for the sporty types to float along the nearby canal, a pool room for the competitive sorts (and a big garden for outdoor games), a bar for those who like a couple of drinks and a pond... Just back from WGL after a great weekend celebrating my 60th birthday with friends. It's very handy for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge and there is also pleasant walking to be had along the canal. The hostel is warm and comfortable and suitable for a group of mixed ages such as ours (2 to 80+). Good facilities, a good... More

I have just come back from staying at the Wild Goose Lodge with my group of over 40 people, mostly made up of couples and families with young children. We had a great time and our Easter weekend gathering was a success because the lodge was fantastic accommodation plus Charmaine did a great job of managing the whole process. The... More

Our extended family; 33 of us aged 3 to 73, stayed here over four day's at Christmas. We ate and partied in the lodge and took in the local sights which included Gloucester, the Wildfowl Centre (brilliant) and even a Hunt gathering. Charmaine, the manager who lives next door, couldn't have been more flexible and helpful, especially with our self... More
