We booked this Inn as a stopover after staying in Cornwall. Our bedroom was quaint with a tiny bathroom, but what do you expect for an old building. Dinner in the very lovely restaurant was delicious. Bubble and squeak was an accompaniment with one of the main dishes, but on asking if I could have some as my starter (cheeky... More

My friend and myself have just had a fabulous evening at The Oakhill Inn. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, in particular Mike and Paul. We both had the duck as our main course which was just divine - cooked to perfection accompanied by the most perfect dauphinoise potato and a delicious selection of different, tasty vegetables. We followed... More

Saw this advertised as a nice pub for the local area. We were staying a couple of miles down the road and thought we would try it out. I looked at the menu online and decided it looked like a place I would like to go to eat. Perhaps we caught them at a bad time (around 8pm on Sunday)... More

Loved the location of this place, as we walked in we were made to feel welcome straight away, we were delt with promptly and booked in to our room. We had the twin and double rooms that are linked together with a internal door. The rooms were of a good standard and clean with a creaky floor that was slightly... More

Used this inn as a stop on the way to Cornwall! All staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and the beer good. The rooms were nicely presented and furnished within keeping with the inn. It's a dog friendly hotel and the staff were really accommodating with our and other visitors dogs. All in all a good experience!

We were looking for another pub when we happened across this delightful pub on 12th July. We were welcomed along with our 2 dogs and enjoyed a fabulous light lunch in the garden at the rear. We had a ploughman's with the best homemade chutney we've ever tasted and a chicken and mayo sandwich. Great side salad too. Lovely setting,... More

We saw the Oakhill Inn promoted roadside and it looked nice, advertising real ale and home cooked food but the reality was quite different. It's very like an old pub in layout and atmosphere with tables laid out for diners but the prices belie the simple interior... we didn't mind this at all but we did have high expectations of... More

I stayed at the Oakhill Inn with my husband and two friends 5 July 2014. A lovely little find with only 5 rooms in total. The double room we had was a reasonable size, with everything you would need for a couple of nights, and a lovely large bathroom with a good shower. The pub is very nice with lots... More

We visited here for lunch on Easter Monday before going for a walk in the afternoon. Dogs are welcome, but we chose to eat in the beer garden because the weather was so lovely. We received a very warm welcome, and the food was absolutely gorgeous. I had bubble & squeak which I can thoroughly recommend. Would like to eat... More
