Loved the place. I stayed 5 nights, so had time to investigate in depth. I was doing some training in the area and wanted a traditional inn atmosphere... and the Bugle has it all: Wood beams, open fire, rickety stairs, convoluted passages, and a good cellar. The food I had was fine... good, basic grub well prepared... and the ale... More

After arriving in this quaint village for a one night stay we couldn't of asked for more. We were showed to our room which was full of character proper beams which is a novelty these days. We ate in the restaurant and the food was nice, my husband was over the moon about the choice of ales, breakfast has a... More

We won a meal and room in the hotel, decided to use it for our 10 the wedding anniversary. On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff, we were shown to our room to find chocolate, champagne, a candle lit corner bath and a four poster bed! Our meal was fantastic, cooked to perfection. We had a good night sleep... More

the hotel is set in an absolutely charming village location and only a short drive to the coast. The staff were most hospitable, welcoming and informative. I did not stay for the breakfast due to the poor reviews however when we checked out i walked past the breakfast room and everyone looked happy enough. Our room was lovely beamed and... More

The room that I had was clean, but the furnishings were all old and poor lighting meant that room was rather depressing. My evening meal in the pub was good, but breakfast was a joke. The 'chef' (cook) is just not interested I served myself to a bowl of cornflakes and a glass of watered down Orange liquid, there was... More

We stayed over the bank holiday in August 2013. There were a few things that, if we had stayed longer would have bugged me! We stayed in room 5 and the window rattled if it was open (it was very warm!), the TV reception was terrible, the main light in the room was an energy saving bulb but barely lit... More

Stayed here for two nights on business friday/saturday night. Free parking is at the rear. Parking at the front is first come basis as sharing with village High st. Rooms are clean well kept and comfortable. Hot water not an issue all worked fine. Stayed at the front of the hotel with window wide open, very peaceful, no noise to... More

I can't remember staying at a worse place than this. No hot water in the shower, the bathroom door would not shut and the bed frame squeaked loudly at the slightest movement. Breakfast was very greasy and we were presented with two cups of hot water with tea bags in them. Don't expect an early night if your room is... More

The Bugle Hotel is the only Hotel in Titchfield and is also one of 4 pub/restuarants. Good news is it is family owned not part of a chain, has its own car park and has a bit of character. The food is pub grub rather than gastro but good honest food. I cannot vouch for the rooms but they seem... More

Seriously comfortable! We loved our weekend away in Titchfield, for so many reasons, not to mention time away with family from the bustle of London (thank you Amanda and Ava). We slept in a beautiful spacious ensuite bed-room, in the gorgeously relaxed 400 year old dwelling known as The Bugle, with simply beautiful views across a quaint country village lane,... More
