We came to Borneo in 2013 for a holiday of a lifetime. Nowhere else disappointed apart from this place. On the outside it has everything going for it, beautiful clear sea, white sand, cute little beach huts. We were aware there was no air con or things to do in the evening but it was nice to just chill and... More

We stayed for 2 nights, the accommodation is not fancy but perfect and suited the laid back way of the resort. The food was a bit of a let down but cheap. The general area around the resort could do with some maintenance, rubbish bags were piled up only a little out of the way and the beach once you... More

We enjoyed our stay here for one night. We booked the Sulap with a shared bathroom but regretted not getting a private bathroom. The shared bathroom is the common bathroom that every goes to and the shower is in there as well; there are no separate areas for showering. The ground is really sandy so you definitely need to wear... More

We spend 3 days and two nights here which was amazing! We made a phonecall to ask for prices and how to get there. Hard to understand the lady on the phone. In the end we got a price for a hut with a double bed and left KK to Mantanani Island We had a really nice hut with a... More

The resort provide basic dorm hostle and chalet type accommodation with basic cafe service but complete diving snorkling activities. I think this is the cheapest lodging you get on the island. The dorm is clean with trees hummok around where you can enjoy sea breeze. Electricity only available from 6pm to 6am. They provide ferry transfer from Kuala Abai fisherman... More

Stayed 2D1N with family members! Staff very helpful but basic facilities need to be improved ! No power supply day time, electricity available after sunset & blackout again at sunrise! Worst is we have only dripping water supply at shower room, no water at all the next day morning! The beaches are beautiful with Crystal clear water and wonderful sunsets!... More

Spent 2 or 3 nights here with my friend. We had a Sulap (bungalow) with twin beds and a fan. The room was quite basic, but is was okay, as you won't sit in your room when you are at a place like this. There are hammock under every bungalow and everywhere in the property, so you can bring your... More

Mari Mari Backpacker Lodge is a well kept facility, the huts are basic but nice and clean, and staff is helpful. It seems that revenue management hasn't reached the island and they are reluctant to discount a penny regardless of the lodge being almost empty. Snorkling is quite poor, coral gardens are nice but wildlife is almost missing due to... More

We've stayed for three nights on mantanani. The marimari is a good place to be on the island. Sadly the beaches on the island are far away from clean .... Diving: very diverse coral gardens with a lot of small fish .. unfortunatly bigger fish are sparse and traces from dynamite fishing are obvious -anyway thats not the fault of... More
