Now the whole idea of a restaurant with rooms is that you can rest your body after an exquisite meal. At The Horseshoe Inn the food is so good, the tickling of yours taste buds so redefined that if you do leave, you will miss yet another dimension of this place - it's breakfast matched and we slept well. The staff couldn't have been more unobtrusively attentive and informed for our small Birthday group, for a delightful late lunch, linger and tea (and breakfast for 2)! The food lived up very well to its reputation and we appreciated the unsolicited birthday extra touches. I'm not a reviewer but had to add a reassuring counter to the last one - their... More

'Restaurant with rooms' should have been our first clue about this establishment's priorities. We booked a one night stopover on our way to the north of Scotland, and were quite happy to pay a premium price based on reviews on Tripadvisor. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, and home made cake and fresh fruit were very welcome on arrival. Staff were friendly... More

We have just spent 2 nights at the Horseshoe Inn and had an excellent time. We had dinner, bed and breakfast and could not fault anything or anyone at this establishment. The personnel, from the owners to the waitresses, were extremely friendly, the room was comfortable and well equipped and the food was excellent. We would thoroughly recommend this Inn... More

We visited for the food, having heard good things about the restaurant, and enjoyed a 1 night stay for dinner, bed and breakfast to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The restaurant was top class, with amazing food coming from the chef in the kitchen, and we were spoilt from start to finish. Our room was clean and very comfortable, with all... More

We stayed at this 'restaurant with rooms' for three nights and were thoroughly spoiled. Our room in the Horseshoe Lodge was extremely comfortable and it was great to get fresh bottled water, fruit and cake left for us on a daily basis. The food in the Inn was excellent, from tasty canapes through to delicious desserts. It was 'fine dining'... More

We happened on this place 3 years ago by laterooms not knowing that in fact it was more well known for the high quality food...to which this year when we returned to Scotland it was a must on our agenda. New chef, more knowledgeable staff, think we had the best room too, but it isn't why you go here. Food... More

We had a two night stay here and it was very enjoyable. Our room was clean and comfortable if a little on the small side. The star of the show however is the restaurant. Our meals were of a very high standard, excellent food, good wine list and attentive, knowledgable staff. Breakfast was equally enjoyable. A very good stay and... More
