We were very disappointed with our stay. Wanted cow house advised booked and offered what was supposed to be an amazing Jeannie carriage. In need mass repairs, cleanliness very poor, equipment ie stove dishwasher not working, broken doors, rails, etc. toys broken swings broken, DVDs videos not working or unsuitable children. Advise day trip to check first. May have been... More

Another family joined our family for a weekend away at Quirky Cottages on Coochiemudlo Island just recently. We stayed at the COW HOUSE and our friends in the LOCHIEL. We had a great time. For the adults, it was truly relaxing and for the kids, they were in heaven. They never once complained of being bored. Hayley, the owner, has... More

We chose the Lochiel (Fish House) for our family. Our girls were so excited because the website said they could feed animals and collect eggs and herbs. This was not available and is only the case if owner has time. Toys and activities at the Fish house VERY OLD and tired. House needs a good clean and repair. NO WORKING... More

We have just returned from a very relaxing long weekend staying at "The Lochiel" at Quirky Cottages. All we needed for a great weekend was our food, clothing and our trusty dog, Venus. The house was stocked more than adequately with absolutely everything you could need. It had a courtyard area which was great to keep the dog in when... More

My husband and I, plus our young family and pet pooch stayed in THE BEACH SHELLY. It was awesome. The kids slept in actual boats in the upstairs loft. They had their own tv and plenty of toys and dress ups to have fun with. They collected fresh eggs each morning from the chickens in the playground area which was... More

We had a great time. The weather was rainy and dull but that did not stop us have a wonderful and happy time away. We stayed in the Beach Shellay, What fun!! The kids loved it. The owner has gone to a lot of trouble to accommodate families. The house is bright and cheerful with lots of toys and games... More

A group of friends and I stayed at the beach house. The place has good amenities and is cheap if you share the price with a group, however if you really enjoy a spotless clean place I would stay somewhere else!!, I couldn't have stayed for more than one night. It might be a fun place for kids though.

There are a few different chalets at Quirky Cottages, I stayed at a 2-storey house called Beach Shellay. All the chalets are themed differently and quirky, as promised! This is a good place for a big group - like families with lots of kids or girly getaway. Pets are also welcome. All the amenities are there - kitchen has cooking... More
