I have to admit that I was dubious when I chose this property as there were a couple of not so good ratings. However, I'm really happy that I took the chance as this place is now one of my firm favourites. I wanted a destination that was not too far away so I could make it a weekend escape... More

Myself and 3 mates went to play golf on Coochie and decided to stay 4 nights at Quirky Cottages midweek. What a blast! We used the bbq each night and night then ate at the kiosk and red rock cafe lunch. Our quirky cottage was the Beach Shellay, it had everything we needed and more, walking distance to the golf... Hayley was a lovely host and my little carriage was old but comfortable and had all I needed for a relaxing few days. I had lovely fresh eggs for breakfasts and wandered around the very peaceful island. It is a wonderful safe place for children and it is a real thrill for the kids to collect eggs and play with... So very disappointed with the cleanliness of the Happy Shack. In need of some major repairs, dripping taps and broken stove, not even the food was safe with god knows what running round eating anything that was not put away in cupboards which didn't close properly. Family holidays are precious to everyone, we wont be wasting our time and money... More

We were very disappointed with our stay. Wanted cow house advised booked and offered what was supposed to be an amazing Jeannie carriage. In need mass repairs, cleanliness very poor, equipment ie stove dishwasher not working, broken doors, rails, etc. toys broken swings broken, DVDs videos not working or unsuitable children. Advise day trip to check first. May have been... More

Another family joined our family for a weekend away at Quirky Cottages on Coochiemudlo Island just recently. We stayed at the COW HOUSE and our friends in the LOCHIEL. We had a great time. For the adults, it was truly relaxing and for the kids, they were in heaven. They never once complained of being bored. Hayley, the owner, has... More

We chose the Lochiel (Fish House) for our family. Our girls were so excited because the website said they could feed animals and collect eggs and herbs. This was not available and is only the case if owner has time. Toys and activities at the Fish house VERY OLD and tired. House needs a good clean and repair. NO WORKING... More

We have just returned from a very relaxing long weekend staying at "The Lochiel" at Quirky Cottages. All we needed for a great weekend was our food, clothing and our trusty dog, Venus. The house was stocked more than adequately with absolutely everything you could need. It had a courtyard area which was great to keep the dog in when... More

My husband and I, plus our young family and pet pooch stayed in THE BEACH SHELLY. It was awesome. The kids slept in actual boats in the upstairs loft. They had their own tv and plenty of toys and dress ups to have fun with. They collected fresh eggs each morning from the chickens in the playground area which was... More
