I stayed here 2 days ago, and enjoyed my stay. This Edda hotel is blended together with an Icelandair hotel. The restaurant/breakfast, bar, and front desk are all on the Icelandair side. The restaurant is a little fancy, but the prices were reasonable compared to other Iceland restaurants. Room was clean, the bathroom had dove soap and shampoo.

when we arrived, Edda staff were not there so we checked in at adjoining Icelandair hotel across the lobby. Seems like Edda is the poor relation of Icelandair. Edda feels like a youth group retreat center. Small rooms with tiny single beds...even the "double" room was just the singles pushed together. But water is hot, room clean and view of... More

We went in the month of May and chose to stay in the old cottages away from the main building . Each cabin has 2 rooms and a for a family of 4 it was like our personal space away from the hotel. Wifi may be an issue in these cottages but Vik is beautiful and we were out most... More

We stayed two nights and as the Icelandair Hotel was full, we used the adjoining Edda Vic. Rooms were compact but very comfortable and clean. The communal areas were very spacey and we sat talking, playing cards there. The breakfast is in the adjoining Icelandair Hotel and was very good - the children loved making their own waffles. The free... More

Rooms are basic but fine. Lots of lounge space to hang about in. Breakfast was probably the best of our tour. Only question is the location. There is a row of bright street lights outside (hotel is on the 'main' road tho there was no traffic when we were there) which means it is a very poor spot to skywatch... More

There are 2 hotels on the same site - Edda is the more basic - the room is fine but as I said pretty basic but you dont tend to spend a lot of time in it. The public areas are good and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food is to a good standard and berakfast is... More

We stayed for two nights on a tour of Iceland. We loved it. We upgraded to a superior room and it was so comfortable. The décor is minimalist but nevertheless it was well appointed. Some people in the party were in basic rooms and were no where near as happy. The restaurant is good

First of all, if you are staying in vik, you are probably here on a tour, and in which case, you are probably having an amazing time seeing glaciers and stunning scenery and on a hunt for the northern lights ( good luck - if you see them, they are stunning!) so your hotel will just be a base for... Myself and my friend stayed here for 2 nights during a 5 day Northern Lights tour and we could not have been happier with our experience. All the staff were so welcoming, friendly and warming from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The restaurant in the hotel, to us, was gorgeous. It had a very calming, relaxed... More
