This hotel is not far from Vik, located in a beautiful Icelandic area. We stayed in the hotel for one night while touring Iceland. The Beds were comfortable, The bathroom functional, and we had working wifi. Our breakfast was good and plentiful. Unfortunately, our one night there was extremely foggy and we missed the views seen from the hotel.

The hotel is on a hilltop so there is a view but that did not compensate for drab and sad. The rooms were ok and clean and wifi good. But there is no atmosphere. Comparing to a similarly functional and simple hotel like the Hrauneyjar Highland Center, where there is a really lively and fun backpacker/hiker ambiance. The breakfast was... More

Even by the standards of functional-looking Icelandic hotels the Dyrholaey is a bit uncompromising. You reach it by an unmade road, and what greets you as you enter the large car park is a long single-story building that looks rather like an agricultural machinery factory. But persevere. The reception area and the corridors look perfectly normal, and the rooms were,... More

Sat on top of a hill, this hotel has magnificent views of Vik. The rooms are comfortable, wifi worked really well and the food was delicious. The staff were most helpful and catered to vegetarians very easily! I can recommend staying here for a few days to explore Vik and nearby areas.

Very nice situated hotel with an excellent view on the bird paradise Dyrholaey. Nice and clean rooms fully accessible for a wheelchair user. Friendly and helpfull staff. Exxcellent parking space. Good food from their own farm.

Clean and comfortable rooms. The weather was very cold on the day of my stay. Central heating was on in the hotel - a very cozy feeling. Good breakfast. A wonderful view from the restaurant! Not a central location, but not too far from Vik.

This a great hotel near Dyrhólaey, on top a small hill and really close to the fabulous black beach and the Dyrhólaey peak. This is a very convenient stop on way to or from Vik. Rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is ample. Higlhy recommended.

After a drive up a very steep mountain we arrived at the hotel. We were situated in the new annex of the building and it was very clean and comfortable. The room was quite large with a nice bathroom. Great location with good views of the ocean from the dining room. We arrived fairy late but we were able to... More

Very comfortable, large room and bathroom. Great location with good views of the ocean from the dining room. We arrived late and had to leave early, but the owner went out of his way to feed us dinner and put out breakfast. We were very appreciative. The dinner of fish and chicken was fantastic. The breakfast was a filling traditional... More

Rather an unusual experience as the hotel is at the top of a fairly long and steep gravel track, however the views are spectacular when you get there. We visited 'off season' (early May) when there were few other guests. The hotel is quite large and presumably caters for large numbers of people, or coach parties, in the main season.... More
