One of the best welcome for us in Iceland. If you look for a warm welcome and a very clean guesthouse, we recommended this place. The breakfast is entire with an amazing ladnscapes if you have a good weather. Also, you can cook in a independent kitchen. Just near to Vik (about 10 min), you have everything to have a... More

Nice and quiet, owner was terrific, easy to find, wonderful place to stay. Close access to Vik, Skogafoss [great hiking above the falls], Solheima glacier and Dyrholaey. Booked thru Icelandic Farm Holidays and everything was as expected [We booked two other locations and they all were terrific].

I stayed 2 non consecutive nights in august as sleeping bag accommodation, and I only can say was the best place I stayed in Iceland. The owner, Sigrun, make you feel like if you were at home, she gave plenty of good advises for my roadtrip. Breakfast is very good, as per Iceland standards, taken in a big table with... More

We stayed in the basement, (sleepingbagaccomodation). The rooms were spacious and clean. Sharing the use of the bathroom was not a problem on any day. The kitchen is provided with basic utilities. On the last evening we had a dinner prepared by the host, main course and dessert. It was a really good home cooked meal. We stayed for four... More

The owners is very nice and friendly. The place was just O.K. nothing fancy or decorated, but we stayed in the "sleeping bag" rooms which are extremely basic. You get what you pay for. Very nice view from the house. Near the ocean and a nice cliff.

Good room, cheap, clear, friendly owner... and for free there is a beautiful panorama around :) The guesthouse is just 500 m from the main road (number 1), 22 km at west of Vik. There is a kitchen where it is possible cook your meal.

We chose Eystri Solheimar as starting point for our Iceland round-trip. Staying there for 5 days was a perfect beginning of very relaxing vacations. The guesthouse is ideally located to visit many of the beautiful sites of Southern Iceland (Dyrholaey, bird watching with lots of puffins, glacier walks, trecking into the volcanic areas, Skogar waterfall and museum, cafe with excellent... Friendly host, beautiful views, clean rooms, close to Vik. My family of four recently stayed here and we had a great experience. We had originally just booked for sleeping bag accommodation but when our luggage got lost (with our sleeping bags) Sigrun (the owner), set us up with some fresh, clean bed linens. A great, quiet night sleep. The bathroom... More

My husband and I stayed at this Guesthouse a few days ago. Sigrun, the owner, greeted us on arrival and showed us to the room. It was on the upper floor which I'm sure on a clear day would have an amazingly wonderful view. There was heavy low cloud cover when we arrived and left so I'm unable to confirm.... More

We arrived late (23h) and were still greated with a warm welcome and explications on what to do the next day. We went to see te puffins and came late (again) for breakfast and our host kept it for us until we came back. The rhubarb marmelade is just fantastic :) on self baked rolls.. Hmmm.
